Sad to hear that. I was just listening to one of Jimi's Greatest Hits albums last night. It almost seems cliche to list him as my guitar hero, but man...nobody is in the same world as him when it comes to guitar...he just played with so much feeling and emotion...it flowed out of him. The guitar was an extension of him. They recorded some of the best music ever recorded.
I too was sad to see the obit. for Noel. It's a shame that he generally was not considered in the same league as guys like Entwistle or Bruce, but to me he was right there. Too bad after the Experience, he really did not continue playing for much longer, just doing Fat Mattress and calling it quits.
