The following is excerpted from a Pearl Jam fansite: www.fivehorizons.com and their excellent concert chronology.
06/23/98 - Fiddlers Green: Englewood, CO [110m] ...The 'Daughter' tag is a Pixies cover, 'Monkey Gone to Heaven' (in honor of Frank Black opening): "If man is 5, then the devil is 6, then God is 7, this monkey's gone to heaven."
06/24/98 - Rushmore Civic Center Arena: Rapid City, SD [110m] ...notes: The band is relaxed and in good spirits, even though they all seem to experience numerous technical problems. 'Daughter' is graced by a Pixies cover as a tag titled, 'I've Been Tired,' which references Lou Reed:
"I wanna be a singer like Lou Reed I like Lou Reed Why don't you tell me one of your biggest fears? Losing my penis to a whore with disease Excuse me please?!"
06/30/98 - Target Center: Minneapolis, MN [110m] ...notes: Ed dedicates the show to Frank Black after the first few songs. Right before 'Corduroy,' he says, "I'm very aware I'm standing where Charles is standing," (a reference to Frank Black whose real name is Charles Thompson).
