I will be at the San DIego show and I will have a few copies of the Louisville Show with me. If anyone would like a copy, I will gladly supply them with one in trade for a refreshing beverage. If interested in a copy of this show - let me know so I bring enough copies. See you in San Diego!!!!! |

I will not be there. But a friend of mine from Rhode Island might. I am electing him to buy you a drink in return for a copy. He is pretty easy to point out. Blonde hair, loads of tattoos on his arms, a biker. His name is Ben. Tell him a friend from RI thought he'd might like a copy, but it costs a beer. It would be a service to him a fellow FB fan. |

GREAT SHOW! Good mix of Pixies stuff with the new stuff. The David Lovering science show was pretty cool, too and I got to talk to him for about a min on my way out the door. |

That's it??? Too short! What did they play? Was Frank chatty? What was McDave wearing...I digress.
Seriously, though, any more details? |

Lovering's set was basically the same it's been for years.. the 3rd time i've seen him. but i'd say this one was the best.. mainly because I got to hold the candle. Whee! :) And I asked him a Pixies question (see Lost Trompe Tapes thread). On to FB&tC's.. I was right in front of Frank.. on his left side. Almost exactlty the same location as almost exactly one year ago when I saw him at the same place. freaky! He started out on acoustic.. played a few tunes, then broke a string, but finished the song.. i don't think anybody but the people up front even noticed. So then he switched to electric. Busted out a bunch more songs, then again broke a string, but finished the song.. bringing the main set to an end. Geez, I guess he must've really been rocking out hard, it being the last show of the tour! Then they came back and played a few songs for the encore. I thought Rich was on this tour? I was looking forward to his craziness, but he wasn't there. Scott had a goofy hat and sounded great. The new songs were cool. Of couple of them really got the crowd boppin', who were pretty good all night. Frank didn't talk much, just the minimum formalities. I taped the show, so I'll try to post the setlist later, if no one beats me to it. |

Rich is probably getting ready for his Blackstone Valley Sinner gigs in the Denver area. I think they are this upcoming week. |

Indeed Rich told me in L.A. that he had a BVS gig back East on that Friday and would miss the Friday night Solana Beach show. I'm very glad I caught him before then, he continues to amaze me each time I see him. He gave us a copy of their album. My girlfriend has it in her car so I haven't heard it yet. She says it's Kooky Kountry. Glad to hear there coming out to Denver, maybe they'll make it out here. |
