Hey, I have a copy of Surferosa that's missing some songs. I guess its because it was before the Surferosa and Come on Pilgrim EP merged. Does that sound right?
Is that rare?

Well, in the UK they are on the same cd...in the US they were never "merged"-seperate cds. Its not that rare, but its the UK version...mildly rare I suppose. Hope that helps.

Come on Pilgrim doesn't deserve to be called an EP, it's too good. "mini album", please. It's pretty cheap (all Pixies albums are) so pick it up without hesitation, you'd want them separately anyway, different sounds and SR/COP sequences them backwards

The tracklisting on my Surfer Rosa is wrong - I think it's because one of the bits where it's just them talking is a separate track on the CD, so all the songs after that are one place out. It wouldn't bug me but my computer lists the tracks out of sync like this. Which shouldn't bug me either, but I'm one of those really uptight people with hives all over their faces who has to have everything on their desk symmetrical and stuff.

The Flaming Lips album "The Soft Bulletin" does this too.

By different sounds I mean the two albums have a different vibe, like all Pixies albums. Come on Pilgrim has warmer guitar tones and vocals higher in the mix while Surfer Rosa has that wall of raw guitar and loud drums

Yeah I think I remember reading Steve Albini got them to play with steel plectrums (plectra?) on Surfer Rosa to create a scratchier, harsher sound.
