Those people are finally going away. It seemed that it was cool for a while to be a prick. The board is full of people who are here for the right purpose. Where in Ireland are you from? Don't go away. Friends are always welcome here.

The Breeders rock. Title TK is my favorite album from 2002...it's just sooo good. You would think after what, 10 years, they would release an album and it'd be "eh," but I like it more than Last Splash. London Song rocks hard; the timing on that song is wild.

I love huffer btw...

Title TK is one of the best produced records I've ever heard.
Better than POD or any other Steve Albini record.

I love the timing (Sinister Foxx), the solo's (The She)
and some songs are truly great (Off You, Full on Idle, Little Furry)

I don't know, Kim has a beautiful voice and seems very talented.
No way she can beat FB though

Personally, I don't know how anyone could not like Kim, especially if they don't know Kim. Kim is a great person and deserves any success she's ever gotten, with the Pixies or on her own. End of story. I've always heard of personal differences amoung the Pixies, but I really don't know, nor do I care. The Pixies were great, Frank Black is great, and The Breeders are great. We should all buy their records and enjoy them, and base personal opinions on personal experiences.

So there, batman.

title tk's definitely one of my faves of 2002 too.. and "huffer" is probably my favorite track. "son of three" is a real toe-tapper too..even though it's probably the most straightforward one on the album. i like the new version of "full on idle" (vs. the Amps version).. and there are some really pretty songs too, like "forced to drive" and "off you"..

thought not always great, kim deal definitely has her own sound and unique songwriting style. tk is definitely better than last splash, and i think ties with pod..

got to seem them at the El Rey last year.. fun fun.. kim and kelly were sooooo cool to the audience.. beyond the great music, they really just exude a good vibe.. it's refreshing to see a band that's so personable and un-selfconscious.. they really don't give a shit (and i mean that in a good way)..

god I've never even heard a breeders song. Maybe I should go buy one of the records tomorrow. Should I start with the 1st one or start with Title TK?

I'd definitely start with Last Splash. That's a must own. The others are good too, but I don't think they compare personally. Then again, I'm not exactly the biggest Breeders fan that's out there. I'm surprised actually, to hear our esteemed moderator likes Title TK (admittedly a good album) better than Last Splash.

There's just a lot of songs on Last Splash that I don't like much...It's a good album, but Title TK just blows me away. I think it gains extra points because it does not disappoint at all...like I said, after 10 years you would think it would be "eh," but it really just rocks.

Yeah, that is a good point. 10 years later and they've still definitely got the touch and sound like the Breeders. For a start, though, I think I still recommend Last Splash. I'm kind of curious which songs you don't like actually, because the only one I'm not so crazy about is Mad Lucas. But songs like Cannonball (I know that it's their big one, but I really do think it's a fantastic song), Divine Hammer, No Aloha, Saints, Drivin' on 9, SOS, and Flipside are all really REALLY incredible songs, and I really can't list that many songs which I think are fantastic from Title TK. Mind you, I haven't quite been listening to TK for anywhere near as long, so... :) Either way, I suppose you can't lose.

No way...Pod is the one!!

"Iris" after all these years still sends chills through my weary limbs.

Kim has an amazing ability to build extremely memorable songs from very very little chord changes. Even ol' Frank tends to jam a few more simple chords into his songs than Kim.

Check out the "Safari" EP as well....

Title TK is fantastic in places, but not flawless (Son of Three and the remake of Full On Idle are particularly weak). I do think it's an improvement over Last Splash, though my faves are still Pod and the Amps album. To Mike Disanto: Huffer is nowhere near the best song on Title TK and sounds out of place on it.

Anybody familiar with this website?

www.geocities.com/mr_mente

The author(s) claim that Kim Deal "stole" some songs from her ex-husband.

Bazza! I don't think I can correspond with you anymore knowing your from Limerick, I thought you were a true blue!

Ha ha, sorry, seriously though, have either you or Brackish Girl seen the singles off Title TK on sale anywhere in Ireland cause I ha'vnt seen them around and have either of you or anybody else heard that version of Do You Love me Now with your man J. Masscis, I had a shitty copy of it ages ago from a friend and always wondered where it came from?

Actually if we're not careful Mr Noisy might move this to Here Comes Your Man, neeheehee, I love everything Frank & Kim!

barry - well... i have lived in dublin for 8 years fella. and i was born here so kinda true blue.

as for the CD singles - well basically i can only order them from tower as they dont tend to stock these types of singles. tower got me all the original pixies eps and were very helpful in doing so. thats your best bet. hope that helps.

Ha ha, bazza, would you want to be a true blue! no offence Bazza;), I really aint that true a blue myself, I always support Galway or Mayo if I get the chance. Thanks for that, I didn'nt know Tower ordered stuff for you. I did see the Robert Onion single in Freebird but I had no money at the time to get it! Next day it was gone! The only other Frank single I've seen and bought is Headache, I love Amnesia.

Oh! I got all the Pixies singles about 5 years ago when they were all reissued, I could'nt believe all the new Pixies songs I got! And I went out and bought the Complete B-Sides(well, you need to get the video's don't you!)

i ordered stuff from redlight in galway.. if you're ever there. hey i go to school in limerick. so i'm gettin all my limerick and boarder friends in the pixies breeders guided by voices etc. they all find tony's theme hilarious obv, but they also laff at drivin on 9. which hurts me! and evrytime rachel rachel hears a pixies song she's convinced she's heard it, she was singin along to gigantic and makin fun of kim on the 'hey paul hey paul' bit. the face on her. the j.mascis do you love me know(do you love me now jr) can be downloaded from noaloha.com. i go on that site too much.

if you say anything mean about kim, i'll kick ya in the shins!
