there are 800 members of this list now right??
if everyone could manage to meet at one central location (LA that is) and pitch in like 50 dollars each, maybe we could pull off the Frank Black concert saga wet dream..
if not Los Angeles, then i vote we hold the concert in Las Vegas.. (which happens to be 4 hours away from LA)..
i been meanin' to get out of Hollywood. |

no no, it's gotta happen in LA :) if we propose the idea of LA to Frank i think our odds will be much higher. i'd be happy to go to Australia or wherever, but he hates flying.. we all know that.
sorry, you guys have to come out here.
would it not be worth it?

what a crazy question...OF COURSE IT WOULD BE WORTH IT! floop we should get the powers that be to see if they can get a hold of frank. if anyone has problems getting to the GRAND PLAN of a show we could maybe get huge carpools or caravans haha. it would be awsome. i am currently in SAVANNAH GA so if anybody lives on interstate 10 12 or 95 i could be your ride! and 50 bucks i think would be WAY more than frank would expect i cant see how he would say no. -john |

it was a rhetorical question, of course.. (would it be worth it? that is)
check it out though, if we could get 200 people together that would be 10,000 dollars.
maybe we could find some inexpensive or even free venue for this gig (i don't care if the sound isn't perfect). possibly something outside, so we can enjoy the Southern California sunshine on into the night (remember, this is going to be at least a 6 to 8 hour concert [with some breaks])..
i'm thinking barbeque.. something simple like burgers and sausages.. maybe some corn on the cob.. of course we'll have offerings for our vegetarian and vegan Frank fans as well. (tofu chunks perhaps).. and many many kegs of beer. does Corona come in kegs? i haven't gotten a keg in a long time..
i like this fantasy..

Actually, it sounds fun, especially in a social setting like a barbecue, instead of an all-business setting like at a club. Frank would probably view it as just another gig though... |

of course he would but he would have the satisfaction that true fans put it together and that he wouldnt have to put a ton of effort, its franks special day...hey that could be the name of the gig. haha, but dont tell him in all honesty it would be all of our special day way more than his, I think the band would be thrilled to get free beer BBQ and get payed to play, wow would it be bad ass. HEY WHO EVER IS GOING TO HEAD THIS UP GET A HOLD OF FRANK AND TELL HIM IT WOULD BE THE CD RELEASE PARTY TO END ALL......cd release parties. YES WE MUST MAKE THIS HAPPEN! if you want this to go through honk your horns.

I'm in. I'd gladly pay $50 for a show of this caliber. It would be great if the setlist could be determined by the forum. He's basically played the same setlist on the current tour, only changing four or five songs a night. I'd like to see 30 songs that he doesn't play that often like Brackish Boy, Thallasocracy, Western Star, Old Black Dawning, San Antonio, etc . . .
The concert would have to be on a Saturday to give everyone ample travel time. Where would be a good place for the concert? Lots of fans everywhere. You could make a good case for Boston or LA where he's spent lots of time and has lots of fans. Or a more centrally located place like St. Louis, Chicago, or Kansas City could be good for a lot of people. |

I was going to post a fake list of all of Frank's "worst" songs just to be a sarcastic bastard, but then I quickly realized looking through other people's set lists that he has no worst songs, and no song of his is totally unappreciated...pretty impressive for someone who has 15 albums under his belt |
