That's not complete without "Rica"! I have a bootleg where he explains that "Viva la Loma Rica" is the name of some game the kids play way down south, meaning "long live the rich hill". Which makes no sense. I can't find any reference to this game on the internet either... :/

"they kicked a baby" "uh, is the sound that the mother makes when the baby brakes"
thoose are as fucking brilliant as they are evil
as far as a whole song goes, i'd have to say cactus. no need for fancy riffs and solos there. no need for music at all actually |

Everything listed in this thread is great, but, I love the above line... |

See ya, -- James L Boyd.
at a concert i saw WAY back when.. (1990, one of his rare solo shows) he explained that line in No. 13 Baby as thus:
he said that when he was living in Torrence or wherever (in the South Bay) as a kid, there was a gang called V.L.L.R. which stood for Viva La Loma Rica, which means long live the rich hill.. but that he didn't know what that meant either.. but he said there was spray paint everywhere that said Viva La Loma Rica etc..
anyway.. that's what he said. never heard it was a game..
as for favorite lyrics, that's impossible. there are too many.

She's so sentimental She's got my picture in her head...is one of my fave Frank lyrics but the Pixies hmmm...
And often times you know I fantasize about having sex with the nuns at my school. Weird at my school...is fun.
But the lyrics that often stick out to me are: 'You're so pretty when you're unfaithful to me.'
All of Cactus... And: 'said it felt like a river inside her bones when she went down to the well...'..'her body a rockin chair for my soul'

Yeah it's "laundry."
"I was looking handsome, she was looking like an erotic vulture," is pretty hard to beat. This thread is makignng me realise just how much of a lyrical genius Frank is.
