Ok I would be living in a country where more than half of the citizens haven't voted for their president (actually more than half of the citizens haven't voted at all, which is quite frightening too).
But at least I would be able to see FB&TC play twice a year!!!
The fact that FB is no longer touring Europe after each album is way more worrying than the upcoming war! Let's do a worldwide march to bring him back here! |

Actually, if we want to be bothered with facts, 51% of eligible voters voted in the 2000 US election. It's not a whole lot, but if people don't want to vote that is their decision. |

Now it is embarassing to live in a country in which the House of Representatives renames French Fries and French Toast as Freedom Fries and Freedom Toast in their cafeteria. That'll show the French. |

And the funny thing is,
French Fries aren't really French...
Their name came from ''to french''...
I would love to see FB twice a year, but I wouldn't like to be under a Bush-regime.....
Well, we shouldn't discuss politics I guess although they go so good with beer

Hmm, a march sounds like a good idea we should all gather in London and try and get Tony Blair to bring Frank to the UK. Theres about as much chance as that as there is stopping 'us' going to war. |

me(a french person), i'm very happy to read your message about the french/freedom fries, because when people in france saw this news, well, we could think that all the american people are *against* us, and that just for a different look about a politic thing !!! but i think politic people, governement, (of any country!) couldn't never make believe us which are good, and wich are evil ! for me, american people are always a friendly country, and i hope that it will be like this for ever.

Well, I´m portuguese, and my PM, a very silly person had offered a portuguese island in the middle of the ocean to they realized the summit of war, and them Bush, Blair and Co. let him appear on the official photos. It was so embaressing see the people of all countries against the war and our govs. making trade and oil deals.
Is it true that 90% of the Bush´s family fortune depends on oil? |

For whoever complains that Frank hasn't toured Europe in a long time... you will get no pity from me.
Radiohead never come to the States...EVER... and last time they came and I had tickets the show got cancelled due to weather, and there was no make-up show! so FEEL THE PAIN bwahahahahahahahah...maybe Frank will make his way over to the Old World when Radiohead start giving their fans more attention here in the New (DC Area in particular)! |

its true europeans and fans abroad appreciate good music. example: pixies (as stated in a previous post) and pavement to name a couple. cheers to the europeans you make beautful music. And Sweden, i thank you for the refused.
Oh and a select group of senators in DC wanted to change the name of a dachsound (sp?) to a "non-german" name and call it a LIBERT YHOUND! |

A dog.
PsychicTwin: OK for the trade, you get Radiohead and we get Frank Black. You can even keep them in the US forever! Hey, why not finding them a cell in the Guantanamo military base?

I just want to clarify a couple of things:
1)The dog is a DACHSHUND.
2)Radiohead are an excellent band that I love, but there is NO WAY i would "trade" em for FB&C. The Man and Los Catholicos are at the top of my list! So no trade, sorry. We're keeping em.
3) yes, pong, I far prefer Radiohead's earlier (guitar-rock) albums to their newer ones, but from an artistic perspective I admire the new ones as well. They don't really get your head bobbing, though....
4)Europe, in general, has always displayed (in the status quo) an appreciation for better rock music than the States. That's why the Pixies were much huger in Europe, and that's why shitty fucking bands like Nickelback and stuff abound on the (horrible, commerical) radio here. So no argument there. |

Give me the new Radiohead over Pablo Honey any day. PH is one of the worst albums ever. |

El Barto-
Pablo Honey is definitely an "immature" album in the Radiohead timeline...they've shown a huge growth as a band between then and now. but one of the "worst albums ever"? don't you think that is a little harsh? there are some really good songs on there. |

I think you have a wrong idea of European people's musical taste. We do hear a lot of crappy stuff on the radio. Pixies had an audience here in France but they hardly get any airplay nowadays, whereas Nickelback does. Well at least it's better than Puddle of Mudd.

I'm not saying that there isn't shitty music in Europe, by any means! my parents are Greek and I lived in Europe for 6 years (and have visited all over the place many times), enough to be exposed to more crappy Euro-trash techno than i would ever care to hear, as well as much of the same lame rock that pollutes the airwaves here in the States.
I guess that is just my impression from having lived in both Europe and the U.S. ...it seems a lot harder to find people here who are into non-limelight rock and more underground vibes of music, but maybe i'm wrong |
