what is your preferred venue size to see frank black?.....when he comes round here, he either plays two nites at a venue of 400 ppl capacity.....or one night at 1000 ppl capacity......i much prefer the smaller venue...although the bigger venue seems to have more clout in getting a second encore....

i would rather see FB in an intimate venue that 50 rows back in a large theatre (although last time he played here in vicar street it sold out in 4 hours). i remember seeing bowie in the olympia here in dublin (approx 1000) and it was truly special as you felt as if you were on the stage with them. i think i am too old for the festival thingy.. so heres hoping that next time FB comes to ireland he will play smaller venues. cheers

There may be no 'I' in team, but there's a 'ME' if you look hard enough.

obviously small is better. Stadium Rock is for the masses (although The Who were pretty cook in London Arena)

I've only ever seen him in small places - which have been great. Fun to be able to get up close, and move around freely.

Yeah, small places are the best. The venue I always get to see him in only holds a few hundred people. Last time I was so close to the action I could have touched Frank's shoe. It is pretty cool when you get to see your favorite musician of all time play that close.

Signatures are for wusses...yeah, that's right...wusses.

Indeed. I /have/ touched Frank's shoe, at the Troc in philly. TLA is also good for this.

I saw him in the Troc once which made the New Brookland Tavern in SC seem huge the second time I saw him, now that was close.

I am all about seeing bands in small venues and clubs. The smaller, the better. Rock music and its energy translates better in smaller spaces, I think. Fuck arenas....

Seeing FB&C at Starr Hill in Charlotesville VA and the at the Black Cat in DC were, for me,the perfect venue size.
