the board has too many forums.
new album news in the same forum as upcoming shows? upcoming shows and show reviews in diferrent forums?
and that frank black updates forum that i still donīt see the point.
the general fb chat seems to be a place for boring discussions on what are your favourite songs, albums, quotes, covers, etc. and thatīs fine and healthy. but the forum could include other, more interesting topics that, in this format, get scattered around needlesly. itīs not like we have tons of FB information to discuss, so why these many topics?
so, my suggestion would be this:
*general FB chat (includes new album news, album reviews, interviews)
*upcoming shows, tours and tour reviews
*here comes your man
the rest would stay the same.
i guess if frank or any of the catholics would like to make an announcement about tour dates, they would post in the upcoming shows forum.

yah, i was thinking that the two middle forums could be combined, since they often get confused. I think the way we have it now would work well if some people who posted took the time to make sure they were posting in the relevant forum, and also that their stuff hasnt been posted already, but its pretty hard to get everyone to do that.
oh and the frank black updates was originally supposed to only contain information posted by frank and company, however people started making topics in there in the hopes to kinda show off to frank becuase he is supposed to be looking in there. I guess it could be gotten rid of too

| I agree on the Frank Black Updates, but it was a good idea and it's not the webmasters fault that some people started posting in their for some reason. Also, I like that there's an "off topic area", I think that's important. Other band message boards, it seems like half the topics don't have anything to do with the band, and the "off topic area" helps even that out. |

Jim and i worked it out this way, and i think it's pretty good..
We've got General FB Chat for those who want to talk about various aspects of the guy.
We've got "News, Upcoming Shows, (Upcoming) Tours and (Outcoming) Albums". I personally don't spend much time in Chat, but i don't (and perhaps others) wouldn't want to have to sort through those messages for news, and whats up and coming. I guess it gets a little over-run, but seems pretty functional overall.
Then there's "Show and Album Reviews, Interviews and Comments", which is a good archive of info, and doesn't belong in News or Chat.
And so it goes.. I like it as it is (obviously, since i set it up that way!), it might need some sorting (like..what is 'comments' again?).
I'm open to suggestions of course, the suggested combination doesn't really sit with me tho. |

I didn't agree to anything! Haha...OK, here's my new suggestion, since we've seen the forum in actions for months, we can definitely cut down on the division.

-News (Upcoming Album, Shows, Etc)
-Reviews, Interviews, and Articles
-Pixies Forum
Tabs and Trading
-same
Off Topic
-General
-Suggestions
I don't see a need for "Frank Black Updates." We might even be able to just combine the "reviews" and "news" sections together. Why don't we also many a "Fun and Games" forum for all those "Survivor" and other games that we could play...they're really mucking up the general chat.

I agree with Jim. I would be much clearer this way, and the "FB updates" section is really unnecessary (even Frank doesn't post there, see the "tour dates" thread).

| hmm.. One problem is that i don't know how to move ALL items to a different area, so if i were to shut down FB Updates, all the messages would be lost..and i dunno if i'm ready to give up hope that they'll ever post in there..hehe.. |
