while i'm at it, i may as well ask another question i've always wondered..

was there an actual pressing of this album? CD, whatever..? and if so, does anyone have the cover art? i'm just really curious what it looks like.

ahhh. there, i've gotten that off my chest..

thanks in advance,

Floop

i forget who it was, perhaps the famous jeremy, posted on here saying that frank gave him a copy of SSMVGD after a concert. he said it was like all white or something, maybe just a track listing somewhere. try to search for that topic. basically, i doubt there was an actual pressing, but either way the coverart was barely anything. sorry:(

floop,

i have some nice artwork i created for SSVMGD - although that's not how i refer to it, of for that matter what it's called on the artwork. when i saw FB & the Cs in Syracuse last january, I spoke to our friend scott boutier before the show and asked him about SSMVGD. he said, "oh - that must be the san francisco sessions.." which is what i've called it ever since.

in any case, you know i'm a wizard with artwork (please testify, my brother!) so if you want it, just drop me a line at big_galoof@hotmail.com

Lowlands was such a great concert, front row, I tell you!

But The mp3 I have of it is cut short after Bullet, I remember they played Holiday Song, John The Revelator, Dirty Old Town and maybe some others after Bullet. Anyone who has that songs of the concert?

I also have a pretty hilarious interview of Frank Black at The Lowlands Festival.

About SSMVGD it was never original pressed, Frank said in that Lowlands-interview that it was an unofficial one and that he gave it to some kid an he put it on the internet....

that's all I know

Wow, I'd like to hear that interview when he talks about SSMVGD. Anyhow, it was I who posted about Jeremy receiving a copy before the 9:30 Club show in 2000 (when The Bennies opened up for FB&TC). There was no artwork for it...From what I remember, the front of the case had no insert (so the CD was showing), the CD was all white and may or may not have said "sunday sunny mill valley groove day" on it, and the back was all white, with the track listing on it. I believe it also said "Sunday Sunny Mill Valley Groove Day" above all the track, and perhaps there was also a tiny bit of info on the bottom about the recording. I can't remember, cause I haven't seen the album in such a long time. Next time I see Jeremy I'll have to take a look at the CD. I wonder if Charles is/was pissed that the album ended up online...

Just in case you can't get those links to work, the plus (+) signs were missing between the numbers.
