I ran across an article/review of it in Wired magazine, and from what I've read, I'm pretty eager to try it out myself! http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/11.11/play.html?pg=4

"Meditate on this: You are the controller. In Journey to Wild Divine, a new computer game designed with help from a biomedical engineer and an ex-Tibetan monk, you harness your biofeedback to navigate Myst-like temples and mountain ranges. To complete each level, you must perform tasks while managing stress with breathing techniques and mind tricks. Hardware wired to your fingers monitors your meatware for anxiety. Sound tough? Get the game (www.wilddivine.com) and put your chi to the test."

Has anybody played this or heard about it? If so, what do you think of it? Anyone had any experience with biofeedback?

I saw a program on the brain recently - I think it was the Discovery/Science channel, in one part they were showing that masters of Tai Chi were able to "throw" energy - it was proven with several experiments, including infrared cameras. Has anyone taken Tai Chi or practiced similar activities?

Very interesting but seems prone to alot of malfunctions until the technology gets better.

My wife has a split personality, and I hate both of them.

Have you played it? What were the malfunctions? - it is $129, so if it has defects, etc. I'm not sure that I will be buying it anytime soon.

No, I've not played it but the technology to measure heart rate, circulation, etc. to actually influence how you do in the game seems like it will take a while to work the bugs out...I don't know, though, I could be wrong.

Damn, apl, that sounds friggin' awesome..! If it actually works that doesn't sound like that bad of a price at all.

What's Halo? Have you ever played Myst or Riven, swimmer? I love those, sounds like you would as well. Also, if you are a Laurie Anderson fan, "Puppet Motel" is the most unique and interesting games I've ever played.

I'd be afraid of any game that has to be wired to my "meatware"

Well, I didn't want to bring it up, but that's where my whole distrust for such devices came from. Let's just say the manufacturers of F-U F-Me owe me a few inches.
