I have some live video clips that I've assembled together from the meet and greet. Sorry there's not more, I had to conserve space on my camera for the concert itself and my final day in New York. I also have more video from the actual show, but that'll have to wait a little until I can get it compressed but still looking/sounding good.
I'm going to provide a link here to the video. PLEASE right-click and "Save As" instead of just playing it in your window as bandwidth is limited. Sean (PixiesMusic) is also hosting the video and Matt has offered to host it as well, so that should be enough to cover bandwidth. Please post your mirrors here.

Using vlc (thanks tobafett) I can see the video, but have no audio. This is on a Mac (OS 10.3). Anyone have a similar problem? |

I'm all- mac and I use VLC to watch AVIs (and mpegs that don't work too well in QT). I love the software, use it often, and have VERY few probs...

Thanks for the pics and clips Dean, looks like a good time was had by all (understandably). Out of interest, how did the fb.net members get involved in this?
I can't get video either, just sound. I followed apl's link to 3ivx but could see no mention of os x or 9 versions. I am not a mac user. I wish I wasn't so clueless on such matters.

hmmm...i'm only getting the audio portion, no video. ?
anyhow, i think all this talk of meeting frank back stage seeped into my unconscious dream world. this morning, i had a dream that i was at this huge stadium pixies concert. frank and kim were there, but no joey or dave (actually, i think the rest of the band were women??? can't remember) in between sets, i snuck back stage...there was a guy from frankblack.net there waiting in the wings (i have no idea who), and i saw frank holding his little boy, a two year old cutie. i asked frank for a hug and cradled him in my arms like an old friend (very innocent) and we chatted a bit. then my alarm went off! :) that's the closest i'll ever get (ps. he was very cool and down to earth even in my dream! haha). |

I have to say this video is one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. Thank you for sharing it. CT's the coolest. Took his time, kept the conversation going and all, made a real effort for his fans.
To Daisy Girl I want to say this: I think the hummus thing was totally cute and you shoud feel good about yourself for making Frank laugh like that (in a relaxed way). Just remember how many times he made you smile listening to his music and how many times he made you laught reading his interviews. Is there a better way to repay a person for all the good moments than by making him laugh (if only for a second)? Lucky you.

This may not be the last such event, though it will depend on when/where the Pixies go after their August gig. I haven't gotten around to compressing those videos, but I've been trying to write up a blogumentary about my New York trip. I may post them on Christmas Day as my gift to all of you.
