(Not really, but I loved his idea in another thread about getting people's attention with a snappy subject line. Even if it's prosecutable libel.)

So, I have a dilemma:

1. I have $50 spending cash this weekend.

2. I have a short in the wires of my good headphones. I have some cheapo backup headphones, but "Bluefinger" doesn't sound very good on anything but quality cans. So I have a real need here. Cost: roughly $50.

1. Morrissey tickets go on sale tomorrow for his Denver show at a pretty small theater. As old as the Mozzer is getting, I keep wondering if this will be his last trip here (or if it'll be his last quality show here before he starts coming as a grey-haired freak). Price of a ticket: $45 plus processing fees.

So where do I choose to spend my $50? My brain says get the durable item, the headphones. My heart says I should try one more time to go to a Morrissey show, get up on stage, and hug him. The pop-music writer here at the paper tells me to go for the Morrissey ticket, since it's a sweet little venue and, for crissakes, it's the Mozzer. But I don't know. Any thoughts?

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

what the heck has drawn me to this bestiality thread?

Is that what you meant in the thread about floop's gut when you said "core exercises," Daisy?

I guess that's better than me pulling my leg? LOL.

No, I was actually pulling my leg at the time.

I hadn't quite spat at that point.

Good choice in the end coastline. I need some new headphones too, but I won't be sacrificing anything for them.

did it almost make you spit on your screen when you were brushing your teeth?

Seconded. You'd have to pay me $50 to see Mozza, and even then I'd be pretty upset.

I've seen him two or three times before, OBW, and I remember being disappointed the last time. The first time, when he was touring in support of "Your Arsenal," was one of the great concert experiences of my life. I was in full worship mode at the time -- I was 20 years old -- and was out of my mind with excitement that I'd been in the same room as he was. But since then, he's just gotten older and less interesting. He was one of the great icons in my life, which is why I perked up when I saw he was coming to town, but I can't help but think he's long past his prime. Which is why I bought the headphones. Now if it was FB vs. headphones ...

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

As it should be.

I'll be seeing him this summer when he comes 'round.

You've missed it. Now when you see him it will be like seeing lame ol' Ian Anderson limping about.

The new cans are great. I'm really impressed by the sound, though they look a little stupid. Here they are:

The headphones were a wise choice. $50 not to see Morissey is well worth it.

Daisy, is there something you're not telling us here?!

Coastline, you should have snook into the show dressed as a roadie.

actually the only thing I have ever stolen is some candy when I was 3. I guess I have stolen pint glasses from the bar, when I was much younger.

Bad choice, loser. Concerts over electronics, always.
Couldn't you of repaired the wires?
How are the new headphones?

Great plan, Carl. The show's in May. Do roadies wear headphones?

But I've never seen him before so...

I got the headphones. I'll just beg the paper to send me to the show and write up a review.

Or, you can have a beastiality side show get paid-- and do both. Either way it's a win/win except for the animal.

The answers to this query will be tainted by each respondent's opinion of Morrissey, who seems to be quite a polarizing figure.

For the record, I know nothing about him aside from the few Smiths albums I've heard and loathed. That and it appears to this outsider that he is following a career arc very similar to that of David Byrne, but that's another discussion.

However, if you're really a huge Morrissey fan I think it would be foolish to spend the money on headphones so you can hear what might just be a rough mix of an album that won't be out for half a year. As Obfuscate implied, the tickets are much more likely to sell out than the headphones.

Nothing is ever something.

...with a good looking monkey/ape, it doesn't really count as bestiality. Fact.

Blasphemy.

Buy the tickets. The headphones can wait until payday.

if someone asked me to think of the two most boring things i could possibly spend $50 on, a pair of headphones and going to a morrisey gig would probably be my response.

you could give me the $50 and i'd help you count to 3.
