I just saw the first video link.
Wow...
It's the best assembled evidence I've seen.

Let's get physical!

I will show you fear in a handful of dust
Newo Posted - 01/22/2006 : 02:13:42
I meant ´thesis´ in the nonacademic sense, which I take to mean someone´s opinion. And ´physical´ should have read ´physics´ but my ranting got in the way.

Pancake Theory is named after FEMA report of May 2002 (http://www.fema.gov/library/wtcstudy.shtm) showing in a couple of diagrams: a fire, a floor falling down onto the floor beneath it breaking the joints holding it up and those floors falling into the one below and so on, creating a stack of floors in the base of the tower.

What's a pancake theorist? Anything to do with the people that showed in 2004 that Kansas in fact is flatter than a pancake?

While we're on it what's a physical thesis?

I wouldn't argue with Tre about exploding buildings. Do you know how many times she's watched The Towering Inferno?

What for? One suspect was already arrested with the phone number of the Guardia Civil bombsquad chiefs private phone number in his pocket, so the cat is already out of the bag with respect to trusting the security services over here. then again, we don´t have quite so many Pancake Theorists to contend with as in Englishspeaking countries.

Now I don't have a PHD in Physics, but I read the link and I think it's retarded.

I think danjersey's link is about 102% more accurate.

the Trade center was Two and Half times taller than the tallest building ever demolished To think such a great feat (2 simultaneous great feats) could go off without a hitch AND be coordinated with kamikaze commericial planes, an airforce fighting strategy retired 60 years ago, is even more retarded.

Newo, that's a really cool article. Even though I don't always believe every consiracy theory I read, I always find them entertaining and it's always good to get a counterpoint to the mainstream media. Thx!
Newo Posted - 01/21/2006 : 05:20:40
I saw the first one. I thought it would be terrible at first cause it seemed a bit glib initially (hiphop beats over the opening footage) but I thought it was the bestwritten of the documentaries I´ve seen, it was all laid out quite concise like.

Newo, what do you think of videos like loose change?

(parts one and two i think)

Owen, I'm sorry but it's not a thesis or a paper it is one guys opinion. I could put a theory online and have people source it but it wouldn't make it true. It doesn't read like a paper would even. Hs conclusions don't follow his facts very well and I don't honestly see what the point is.

OK, point 1:I'm no physicist but the focus on "molten metal" doesn't read right. He states that molten metal was observed and then states that the temperature of the fire would not be enough to melt steel. However in the middle of this he clearly states that "Scientific analysis would be needed to ascertain the actual composition of the molten metal". If it is not known what the molten substance is, and it is reported as looking like iron or steel could it not be possible that it was another substance that was observed? Without analysis of what the substance actually is all further points about the melting temperature and environment for metals is invalid and pointless. Analysis from unproven photographs is no analysis at all.

I'm struggling to read this though; the bolded emphasis don't make it easy at all.

OK so point 2 refers to a peer reviewed paper which is here: http://www.tms.org/pubs/journals/JOM/0112/Biederman/Biederman-0112.html

this peer reviewed paper is a letter stating intent more than anything. the title is INITIAL investigation, I'm looking to see if this was further investigated by this group and if there conclusions were the same. If they are, then I would question why this physicist is not using this as evidence rather than this bref letter. In the same issue of this journal there is another article: http://www.tms.org/pubs/journals/JOM/0112/Eagar/Eagar-0112.html which also covers why the world trade centre collapsed, this contains other theories as to why the tower collapsed.

I'm not going to bother rebutting all 17 points as he suggests, but you catch my drift I hope? You can't really put too much faith into these online articles you know. Peer reviewed journals have a lot more weight to them but if you suspect that these articles you find have a semblance of truth to them the only way you can find that out is to take the time to look into every one of the so called facts it presents.

So yeah, bunk.

very little science and alot of "they said" and "he said"... and funnily enough is it to be published in "Research in Political Economy", should it not be in some civil engineering journal if that is the case..

i heard the first plane hit and saw the second. joined others and watched as the fire grew in both buildings. stood on Church street when the south tower collapsed and walked north on green street when the north tower followed. as i remember the ultimate end of those two gigantic office spaces i can only think of one thing that caused such total devastation, www.civil.usyd.edu.au/wtc.htm
hate.
