how do you feel about Jessica Simpson being cast as Daisy Duke? good casting choice, or not? if not, who do you think would be a better choice?

as a kid, i always dreamed of the day i could own a car and jump through the window like the Dukes.
and now as an adult i've been able to live out that fantasy on an everyday basis.

It's an okay choice, she is easy on the eyes, but her reputation that proceeds her makes her a sketchy choice...
I think if we're talking female teen young pop stars, B. Spears or C. Aguilara are better (spelling?), at they're a little naughty and not total fucking idiots; they also would give that little but needed hope that Daisy is a bit naughty herself in those short shorts.
I know Daisy turned me on as a child and still does to this day, I can still picture the show in my mind, a screen shot of those white short shorts and those half opened botton down shirts; good lord, that makes up for the images of Boss Hog and Rasco any day ;)
What's the deal though, I thought Bill Cosby bought the rights to the Dukes of Hazard?

I thought the original Willy Wonka movie kind of screwed up the book (for example Willy Wonka wasn't a jerk to Charlie in the book), so I think Tim Burton might make a good movie. He certainly is well suited for making a visually interested factory, but I hope he doesn't make it too dark.
I agree carolynanna, if Waylon Jennings isn't singing the Duke theme they can keep their movie to themselves. |

Ach man, Johnny Depp is cool. Maybe not for this role, but he's definitely cool.
I'm actually quite interested to hear who floop has planned for the Knightrider remake. I reckon the Hasselhoff himself would do it, he hasn't changed all that much.

i think for Boss Hogg it's a tie between Danny DeVito (excellent choice) and Jon Polito
Billy Bob is also an excellent choice, but i think Michael Madsen could make a good Roscoe too..
