my girlfriend and i are possibly going to go to London for New Years to meet up with some friends. i've always wanted to go London (still have yet to go, despite traveling nearby quite a bit).
we think it would be fun, but then we're also thinking maybe it would make more sense to go somewhere, like, tropical. in December.
i'll just be in the pubs the entire time anyway, so i guess it wouldn't matter if it was cloudy and raining.. but it would be nice to see some sunshine on a vacation. or, as you say, holiday. how's the weather in England in December?
if we do come, can someone recommend a good area to stay in in London? you know, the cool happening area or whatever.. we have no clue.
other question: who is buying me a pint if i come to England?

And indeed she didn't mind. They both sounded on their way to being drunk when I spoke to them earlier. Tre has brought her mate along too so maybe floop has gotten really lucky. Way to forget the ex Tony!

I've set all my alarms so I can get my stupidly early coach tomorrow. I've had some headache tablets to deal with the bastard behind the eyes. I've bought some batteries for my MP3 player and put a couple of books on the side for the journey down. I've filled my hip flask with gin and put it in the fridge.
I'm ready.
Oh fuck cigarettes, ok off to the shop....

Cider
Lager
and some other stuff I can't remember. I really did do a sick in my mouth.
I might look a little green on monday.
No worries floopster, changing my coach time to later. May be pissed by the time you get there though

It looks like the meeting has moved to the freedom Microbrewery. I've looked it up it looks very pleasant (big copper vats bubbling with fresh ales and moody lighting, very clean and fresh) I'll have my housemate in tow so we'll head into there as soon as we got to london and bag a comfortable seating area. I don't think I'l get there any earlier than 12.30 but I'm going to change my booking to a later one when I leave I think, give a little more time in the big smokes.

The most tradicional is one that we call "BOLO REI" full of fruits, delicious! But I will make "RABANADAS" that is made with bread, eggs and milk, with cinnamon. I'm also going to cook a pudim...
