Hi FB Forumers!

These days I suddenly had a vision (or dream), and in this vision there is no place for television.
This is the concept (maybe my vision is just a stupid fantasy, still like to share it with all of you anyway):

What about one or two weeks of camping with Frank Black in the Massif Central in France.
Of course not an ordinary camping municipal, but some secret hidden place in the middle of forest, mountains, nature.
It`s already great that Frank writes to us on the forum, now he will even go on camping with us and he will bring his guitar with him. Wouldn`t that be great!

The only ones that are allowed to be over there are “hard-core” FBforum participants. (Actually I am not a hard-core forum participant, but I will do the organization, so I`ll be there, he, he,he)

Picture yourself the following:
We are all camping out there in the rough nature of the Massif Central, surrounded by beautiful forests, torrents, meadows, waterfalls, flowers you name it, filled with wild animals such as wild pigs, birds, rendeirs, whatever…
In the night we`ll have a great open camp fire which reaches up to 5 meter high. We just had a great French meal on the fire and barbeque with the whole group. Then Frank takes his guitar and starts to play. Every night more songs and amazing stories, anecdotes. The man definitely likes to talk with us and share all kind of stories, songs, ideas, fantasies whatever. Then we all drink beer and wine and sing aloud you know. In the daytime we just do random talking about everything we always wanted to talk about to eachother and to Frank of course. We`ll some activities such as some sports (mountainbiking and kayaking in La Drome) and games or we visit some cities in the region, like Clermont Ferrand.
One night during this holiday all the catholics suddenly show up and give a surprise concert, well maybe even one night the pixies even show up, anyway…

I suggest not to go in the mid summer, because of the extreme temperatures out there, or do you think Frank easily stands 40 degree celcius?

Anyone got more suggestions?

well, I was thinking slightly more relevant questions might be more appropriate

"I now so wanna go camping.

What exactly would qualify one to be a hard core forum member"?
(Quote from Gypsydeath)

You have got a good point here Gypsydeath, Who or what exactly determines being a hard core member of the forum?

Suppose you are just a regular fan of FB`s work and you live in the USA. You heard about this camping forum week. you immediately step into your local Greyhound bus to the next city where they have an airport about 6000 km from your house. During this trip the greyhound company by accident put some of your luggage in the wrong bus. Then you take 3 different airplanes with landing in between with all the anti-terrorist procedures included. Then you arrive in Paris and have no clue how to proceed further. You suddenly found the address of an old friend somewhere in the banlieux of Paris. After several incidents with different gangs in that area you are glad to be alive arriving at his friend`s home. From your friend you are able to borrow his car, which is the best in servo-coratian technology since the late eighties, a Yugo, after several brakdowns you finally reach the Massif Central region. In the last 15 kilometers the road is no longer accesible for cars (well at least not for Yugo`s). Packed with heavy backpack you then continue through the pooring rain, after a total travel time of more than 4 days you finally reach the Campground. Then some guy suddenly stands in front you telling that you are not welcome as a regular Frank Black fan, because until so far you had only done about 10 postings on the Frank Black Forum so far.

Would that be fair??

Well I can see there is enough motivation for this camping-thing.

I`ll take care of all the food, drink, good looking whores (are they easy to find in the Massif Central region? and are they willing to come to some far away campground deep in the forests of the MC?, ha, ha, ha), beer, fishing gears, bicycles, wood, acoustic guistars,wine, BBQ meat, and an airconditioned tent for Frank.
Man.. I definitely need a huge Géant or Leclerq Supermarché around there for all the supplies!
Monsieur Posted - 08/19/2004 : 16:27:07
set k of integer;
write "how many beers on the wall, Frank?";k;
if k=>99 then
for i :=1 to k
write "you can do it"
else write "Frank you're a pussy";
end.

haha, ok gotcha. You're such a brainiac... (:
apl4eris Posted - 08/19/2004 : 12:51:29
I must admit, this was all part of my own twisted "Pixies Math/Logic":

If Frank is not a dancing bear,
then he must be a drinking bear,
else we won't get to sing "99 bottles of beer on the wall" with him 'round the campfire.

Also,
if Frank is the "wrong crowd",
then I don't wanna be right!

$n=pop||99;sub b{"$n bottle@{[$n!=1&&s=>]} of beer"}print$b=b,$w=' on the wall'
,", $b!\nTake one down, pass it around,\n",b($n--),"$w!\n\n"while$n
