Now is the time if you're a U.S. citizen and of voting age. Do it! This is a crucial election!

Since I want to make sure you vote (Pennsylvania is an important state). Here's is the web page for the Penn Registrar of Voters:

http://www.dos.state.pa.us/bcel/lib/bcel/voter_registration/01_staticpage/voterregistrationapp.html

You don't need a Penn drivers license. You will need one the following when you to vote in November given that you haven't voted in Penn before.

Approved forms of photo identification:
PA driver's license or ID card issued by PennDOT
ID issued by any other Commonwealth agency
ID issued by the U.S. Government
U.S. Passport
U.S. Armed Forces ID
Student ID
Employee ID

Approved forms of non-photo identification:
(ID must include the name and address of the elector)
Voter's identification card issued by the voter registration commission
Non-photo ID issued by the Commonwealth
Non-photo ID issued by the U.S. Government
Firearm permit
Current utility bill
Current bank statement
Current paycheck
Government check

Where you live. I think, since you don't need a drivers license to vote.
El Barto Posted - 08/20/2004 : 19:03:24
Do I need to register to vote where my driver's license is or where I'm currently living? Cause I've been living in PA for the past 3 years but have not switched over my driver's license...don't tell the cops.

I guess I just wasn't made for these times.

Well, Krishna had a milkmaid fetish. I think it was the Norse myths that had some kind of divine sky cow, though.

And where do the hindu deities come into it exactly?

You mitsys are confusing me

I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out.

Sounds about right, VoVat. Plus, I saw Vishnu working at the counter there a couple of times. You don't have to wait in line much during his shift.

VoVat Posted - 08/20/2004 : 13:17:20
I think she had an affair with Krishna at one point.

I'm sure you'll rewrite history once you become dictator, though, so there isn't that much point in paying attention to it now.

I was just reading that John Kerry's wife came to Calgary Alberta yesterday. The article says that Calgary has the largest percentage of Americans living there or having dual citizenship at 7%. It also said that there are approx 500,000 Americans here in Canada that are eligible to vote. Funny how noone thought of that last time but this time they're making damn sure...

VoVat,

Now I feel totally awful that I don't know when Frank's birthday is?
I don't think a National holiday is in order, but I'd be glad to host a party to commemorate his musical gifts.

Why is our culture so focused on the "front man"? The other musicians speak through their instruments. Other players are just as important as the quarterback, but there IS something special about Sir Charles Thompson...
VoVat Posted - 08/17/2004 : 16:50:41
Maybe we should start a petition to make Frank Black Day a national holiday. What day should it be, though? His birthday?

I don't get how Jesus could get a national holiday if even Frank doesn't have one.

Jesus is coming. Look busy!

I'm not surprised to hear about Jesus Day, but the name kind of sounds like a joke. Then again, it IS Bush we're talking about here.

I guess Jesus Day differs from Christmas and Easter in that it isn't an adaptation of a pagan holiday. Still, it's pretty dumb. To a Christian, shouldn't EVERY day be Jesus Day? To a non-Christian, why does he deserve a state holiday more than a lot of other people?
