apologies if there already exists such a thread, but going to T-in-the-Park tomorrow, so making a couple of tapes for the 4 hour journey, one is quite cheesy/older stuff, the other is newer indie stuff... anyone got any recommondations? no fb.

74/75?

Did they have any other hits in the US? They didn't over here. I liked that song though, was thinking about it the other week for the first time in ages.

Yeah Pistolero is a great driving album, I've listened to that plenty on my regular treks.

Moistboyz are good driving music. But you might develop severe road rage.

It does depend on what kind of driving you're doing...
Sun & Speed?

On Her Majesty's Secret Service-Propellerheads
Sabotage-Beastie Boys
I Get Around-Beach Boys
The Small Hours-Metallica
I Got the Feeling-James Brown
Ego Tryptophane-The Exies
Stereo-Pavement
Steal My Sunshine-LEN
Devil in Disguise-Elvis
Something Against You-Pixies

These songs get me pumped when I'm driving. Many of them ended up as the soundtrack to my Need For Speed game on XBox. I'll post my cruising at night list when it gets dark and I'm in the right frame of mind.

I'm the guy from wonderland...& you will never understand...

Now that you bring it up..I think "Tiny Heart" would be a great driving song, too. Well, all of Pistolero, actually.

Late at night. Just tooling along at the speed limit or whatever.

'Big Gay Heart' is really friggin' great on a dark country road.

Chris Isaac's Vicious Game playing during the creepy crashed car scene in Wild At Heart makes me rather not listen to Isaac in a car.
