I did the running over it thing, worked pretty well! I have a sweet Mizuno glove, it fits me like a...uh, well.....a glove.

None of tricks make it seem genuinely "used," but they sure help. My last new glove got the neatsfoot oil treatment and I wrapped it tightly with a ball inside when not in use. It sped up the break-in process immensely. |

I have discovered that the only way to soften one up is to use it. Based on my own experience, I can tell you that none of the "tricks" actually work
