Posted - 03/03/2004 : 01:14:46 I love orange juice. love it more than Kevin Bacon in "Stir of Echoes". The other night I woke up from a fevered dream of lemonade with a raging thirst, and the orange juice I drank brought a tear to my eye.
But Orange Juice from Concentrate? Forget it. It has none of the good properties of real orange juice. It's hard edged, bitter, and totally bereft of subtlety or nuance. It's McDonalds vs. Filet Mignon.
And I've got two gallons to get through before I can go back to the store and get myself some real Orange Juice.

Isn't that the stuff that causes cancer in lab rats?
By the way, has anyone here actually tried Moxie?

Posted - 05/10/2005 : 10:22:51 I only remember the clear stuff, we're going back a few years here, I mainly remember it because I used to not drink coke as a kid, flat out refused and my dad tried to con me with it the once.
I was too smart for his tricksy tricks.

Posted - 05/10/2005 : 08:58:48 actually i think Tab was just a sugar free coke (similar to diet coke) and Tab Clear was just another type to compete with a clear pepsi... google is great :)

Posted - 05/09/2005 : 16:52:36 I will never forget the time both my husband and I thought the other had cleaned the juicer only to discover a week later when we tried to make more juice that something was horribly wrong.
I can still remember the smell!

Posted - 05/09/2005 : 15:07:23 Minute Maid orange juice tastes awful.
My fave is Florida Natural. And Tropicana is pretty good too. I only buy stuff that already comes made in a carton. the best OJ i've had was at a hotel in Belize that made it freshly squeezed.
BLT your comment cracks me up, because my mom used to buy donald duck OJ! She knows better now. I guess 33 cents a can seemed like a good deal or something.

Posted - 05/09/2005 : 14:20:57 I got a juicer for my birthday! It's an old-school, hand-cranked kind of deal, and good gravy is the juice better than anything from a carton.

Posted - 04/20/2005 : 12:15:00 Juiced in a juice extractor = best Freshly squeezed = pretty damn good "Indian River" pasteurized orange juice, not from concentrate = decent Other pasteurized, not from concentrate orange juices = sometimes okay From concentrate = terrible, always "Sunny Delight" = horrendous, undrinkable
