Posted - 08/31/2007 : 11:00:47 My windows media player wont work, and Im thinking maybe it was a codec or something that is preventing it from running? when I start Windows media player it says it must be reinstalled, any ideas how to do this?

This I found doing a quick search

What have you tried?
I would have assumed, by which I mean it was just an assumption, if it was anything like XP, that you would do this from
Control Panel-->Add or Remove Programs-->Add/Remove Windows Components.
Uncheck Windows media player.
