Posted - 06/08/2007 : 01:38:37 When I was young I hated eating raw fruits. I only liked them in desserts. Today I'm eating one almost everyday. Now my favorite fruits are pears (I like them juicy), oranges, apricots and peaches. I'm not fond of red and small fruits likes cherries and strawberries. The ones I don't like: Kiwi and melon.

Cherimoyas are awesome but, as dayanara notes, they go bad much too fast. I've never seen one as big as the one in the photo. The ones I get usually look like hand grenades. |

unfortunately, we only seem to get them a few times a year and the damn things always go bad within a day of purchase. but still. best fruit ever.

Looks more like a fucking Picasso than a fruit.
Yet straingly intriguing.

I have never seen anything like this before. I will have to look for it. Has anyone in the US ever see or try anything like this?
It's not you I don't like
I did, we often have that, although I think it's a tropical fruit, but I don't know the name in english. It has a particular taste and it's delicious!
Does anyone knows this fruit?
Because we have lots of them at this time of the year, and I eat it almost everyday because I have some trees...it's also delicious
I don't know why, but I know I can't stay

Posted - 10/24/2007 : 13:25:20 I eat a fair number of bananas. I also like blueberries, watermelon, and grapes. Also nectarines, which are like peaches without that annoying fuzzy skin. I always tend to forget about fruit that I've bought, though, and a large amount of it ends up going bad. I guess I could try buying in smaller quantities, but that's sometimes not possible.

Posted - 06/10/2007 : 15:47:48 Remig, if you like pears, then you should splurge and buy some royal riviera pears from Harry & David (mail order deal). If you let them ripen the right way, they are the juciest, most wonderful pears I have ever experienced. The "Maverick" ones are ones that don't look as perfect and are sold at a discount, but are equally delicious.
OK, so I love avocados also, and fresh pineapple.

awestruck - you can get cherimoyas at whole foods but they're like $6 a pop. totally worth it.

I did not think about tomatoes. I love tomatoes. I chop mine up and put salt and pepper on it. Sometimes, I put just a little mayo or a little ranch on the tomato. I could live happily having a tomato at each meal.

I like mandarines because it makes me thinks of christmas.
Does anyone else thinks grape is awful to eat? I can't stand its skin that's sometimes too thick so I have to spit it with the pips.

can you elaborate cheeseman? sounds intriguing but i'm a bit confused.
and anyone else notice that on pixiesteve's previous post it has a date of june 8, 2007 and it was edited by dave noisy on june 5, 2007. is it just really early in the morning for me? it's like dave went back in time to edit a post that was yet to be created.
or is that just his signature? if so that's pretty tricky.
