Seriously, what the hell is with Subway? There’s 3 within a five minute walk of where I work, and a forth is opening soon right across the street.
For some reason I just couldn’t stand Subway. I would avoid them completely. There was something about those places that made me feel weird.
But, today, I tried out a “sub” (the one with the meatballs and honey oat bread), and DAMN

I still think they’re some kind of radical sandwich cell.

I drew up a mental image of her making bed clothes out of old subway wrappers.

The price of a 6" has gone up by something like 11c
It's €4 now.
Is there a sandwich inflation we're not being informed about?

I know I like spinach instead of lettuce on my subs, but not all subways have spinach. As for that gal... well, she should have just went on back to her local subway.

I had to wait about 15mins, it's a smallish enough joint.
Oh, and there was this total subway-whore infront of me in the queue. She was holding everyone up, and she kept saying things like "i usually get..." and "my local sub has..."

Sounds good to me...how long did you have to wait for it? I had to be in a Subway once for nearly 30 min. and I didn't even eat in. Just in line, order, watch them make the sandwich and pay...Crazy.

...I just went in there to make sure everyone knew what idiots they were being, and then i left with a 6" inch sub with meatballs, cheese and lettuce, just to rub it in their faces.

So s_wrenn... Were you there for one of those fucking sandwiches?

That subway i was talking about opened yesterday.
They were installing new windows at 11.00am and by 12.00am they were open for business.
Surprise, surprise, the place was packed out when i went in there today. Seriously people, it's a fucking sandwich!

I had Quizno's once. I didn't like it as well as Subway. But Subway's quality is not what it used to be. I think Coastline pointed that out earlier. As for Chuck E. Cheese...I hate that place. My family was invited to a birthday party there just this weekend. I told my family (BF and the kids) that I was not going...because they run around like wild people hyped up on speed (no offense to speed users) and my otherwise mature BF reverts back to his 13 year old self and I AM the one trying desperately to keep up with our 4 year old. Which is hard to do in Chuck E. Cheese. I lose site of mine in the hamster play thingy at least 2 times a trip only to find him jumping in the plastic balls. I am sure other parents can relate.

So I refused to go to Chuck E. Cheese and leave with a headache. No Way.

oh but we were discussing Subway. Well I will say that every subway i run across is jam packed with people. I have had to wait in line for 20 min. before. I don't do that either. I'll just go down the road to McDonald's and get a quarterpounder with cheese. Much faster and cheaper. But it will clog the arteries.

I've only had Quizno's once and it was pretty bad. At least they got rid of those weird singing rat things in their commercials.

Ugh.
s_wrenn Posted - 04/15/2007 : 09:16:27
To my surprise, i noticed that there's also a Quiznos Sub near where i work. And it's been there for a while...

Gots to open your minds. There are some incredible kid's pizza joints, or plazas, massive kid's world, rivaling our bar scenes and clubs. out there now. Shit you would have creamed over when you were 4. I'm baked.

i couldn't agree more.

it's bad enough that parents are forced to go to that place, but on top of that the pizza tastes like ass

There are more Subway's in Manchester now than McDonalds. They are fucking everywhere.

They are quite nice, but way overpriced.

Also, I've noticed in Canadian fast food ads, they sometimes mention "process cheese" as one of the ingredients in, say, a breakfast biscuit. But they say it like it's a positive thing, like "buy our breakfast biscuit with sausage, egg, process cheese, and bacon." Is "process cheese" really something that should be promoted?

Yeah, where are the shitty Irish chains here in America?

I mean, we have IKEA, but do we really get any other country's shitty chains?

I always wanted to eat at a Tim Horton's, but I'm pretty sure they only have them in Canada.

i've never been to Ireland.. i never pictured it as having shitty American chains there, but i guess that's the case everywhere. it's somehow depressing to me that they have Subway® in Ireland.

do you guys have Chuck E Cheese too?

In college there was a Subway, but the "u" in the light up sign was burnt out (for 4 years as far as I know).

So everyone called it "Sbway". It's heard to pronounce, but that's what I've always called it.
