The entire England squad if they don't pull their fingers out.

I was thinking long about joining a local club this year...not sure it will ever happen.

Posted - 12/05/2006 : 20:16:09 It started okay, actually... but then I realized I don't especially know the rules, which does namke it more difficult to follow. :)
Still I appreciate it.

Posted - 12/05/2006 : 19:51:39 Ok COF - England batted first and scored 6/551 dec.....which means they didnt use their whole 10 wickets (like "outs" in baseball i guess), they decided they had enough runs after losing six wickets ad "declared" their innings finished. Then Australia lost their 10 wickets for 513, 38 less than England. Then England had their 2nd innings and lost their 10 wickets for only 129 runs, giving them a lead of 167 runs. So Australia needed 168 to win, which they achieved, only losing 4 wickets (4/168). so Australia won by six wickets (number they had remaining in hand)
That probably made no sense whatsoever.

No not reallly.. But Plan-A for England would've been a Draw as the worst case scenario.
By batting so slowly, England were keeping Australia in the game and setting themselves up to take a fall.
