Since it's probably a bit pointless starting a thread about every single new film that comes along-I mean, it might be of interest to you, but not so much that you want to kick off a topic about it-I thought maybe we could do one for films that you're kind of looking forward to.

The Fountain-Darren "Pi, Requeim For A Dream" Aronofsky's fantasy film about a man's 1,000 year search for the secret of eternal life. Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett were originally going to star in the roles played by Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz, but the director and Pitt had creative differences and what was originally going to be a $75 million dollar was eventually made for $40. Aronofsky wrote a graphic novel, illustrated by Kent Williams, that has been available for a while.

The Departed-Scorsese's remake of Hong Kong cop thriller Infernal Affairs, which I haven't seen and might check out before seeing this.

Here's a high resolution trailer:

...It's a little slow to download, you can watch it at smaller sizes here:

Battle for the Republic examines the globalist plan to balkanize the United States and other Western nations by flooding it with immigrant populations, who are in turn exploited by their corrupt leaders and globalist policies like NAFTA and CAFTA.

New trailer for There Will Be Blood.

Iron Man International teaser.

Downloadable internet-only trailer for The Mist here (it's Trailer 3), or check out the handy YouTube version!

i'll be interested to see that but i'm bummed out by the stories of how the studio pussed out and forced Tim Burton to dumb it down and make it less violent.

The short prequel film to The Darjeeling Limited, Hotel Chevalier (starring Jason Schwartzman and Natalie Portman) is free to download on iTunes. Click here.

Drawing Restraint 9 - featuring Bjork and with a soundtrack by her, and directed by her partner Matthew Barney, this was made in 2005, but has only recently been released in the UK.

It's actually a movie of the musical of the movie, sort of like they did with "The Producers." I haven't seen it, but my girlfriend, who loved the original, didn't like the musical-movie.

Yep, 'Cloverfield' or whatever is certainly an exciting prospect, and I'm equally disappointed that there's no move on the Dark Tower movie. When they eventually make it (or at least the first movie!), I hope they don't botch it up!

Shine A Light (Scorsese's Stones doc).

Stephen King's The Mist:

(Yahoo! Movies).

IGN - downloadable (also a downloadable interview with director Frank Darabont.

I've heard of it, that trailer is weird! Abrams is meant to be doing the Star Trek prequel, and was planning to adapt Stephen King's Dark Tower (although plans for that have been shelved for now). This seems to be a working title, The IMDb has it as Untitled J.J. Abrams Project.

....Teaser now officially up at Apple.

Ethan Haas Was Right.

Ethan Haas Was Wrong.

Beowulf - Robert Zemekis CGI'd-actors version of the classic tale. Here's the R rated version.

The Darjeeling Limited - Wes Anderson's latest.

Lust, Caution - Ang Lee espionage thriller.

No Country For Old Men - Coen Brother's next.

The Shark Is Still Working - Doc about Jaws, if that's too slow try this YouTube version!

Halloween (trailer 2).

30 Days Of Night.

D-War and Cloverfield (we'll call it that for now) both look cool, but I am sad to hear that the Dark Tower has been shelved.

And Mr. Magorium's whatever actually looks kinda good.
It reminds me of Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, if anyone's been there.

American Gangster.

David Cronenberg's Eastern Promises.

This looks like a total Charlie And The Chocolate Factory rip-off, but at least Natalie Portman is in it. Oh, and Dustin Hoffman, but he's not as pretty: Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium Trailer.

New Bourne Ultimatum trailer up.

American Gangster link updated, biscuitdough.
