From the Futureheads thread...

Eric's Trip (Sonic Youth)

And now that I've started this thread, I'm drawing a blank on any more. Looks like somebody has a case of the "mondays".

Death Cab for Cutie get their name from a song performed in the Magical Mystery Tour movie. It's not a Beatles song, though.

The Tragically Hip from a line in Elvis Costello's song "Town Crier".

Well, sort of close.

The John Vanderslice album Mass Suicide Occult Figurines is lifted from a Neutral Milk Hotel lyric from the song Song Against Sex.

I hear Frank Sinatra was named after the CAKE song. Yeah, Head Like A Hole is a NIN song.

When I have more time, I'll stick a song on here for you. They are only about 17.

I am not sure if it is intentional or not. They certainly sound nothing like Talking Heads.

I know there's a French band called Tom Violence. Great song, bad band name.
Also, Blonde Redhead (DNA song).

Radiohead, after a Talking Heads song right?

Yep, from True Stories. Though it has a space on the album; 'Radio Head'. [/fanboy]

Pretty Girls Make Graves? I'm sure I read they denied it was a Smiths reference. I don't see how they can, though.

I think there's a band in Scotland called Debaser also.
