The E3 conference runs from may 9th-11th and the Expo from 10th-12th.
And what does that mean?
This year should promise playable PS3 and possibly Wii (formerly the Revolution) games as well as the latest update on next-gen titles.
With the video games industry making an estimated $25bn each year these become very important days for Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft.

What's your views?
What are you looking forward to on show?
Ever been to E3?
You ever wonder why they try to sex up this show with tons of scantly clad ladies who never played video games in their life.
Their just cock teasers for the viewers!

Anyway,
expect Microsoft to be ranting on about how great HALO3 is,
expect Nintendo to be getting more criticism for the name change as well as people waving "wands" like Harry Potter fanboys,
And expect Sony to unveil more of its cell proceesor power.
(Plus, Rockstar finally showing us GTA4 on PS3?... Hopefully)

All this sound too nerdy for you?
Then maybe i should go sit on my couch and fiddle with my analog stick! {i know, that was the saddest joke of all time}

{i'll post more screenshots during the week}

Since Sims speak gibberish, what would their dirty talk be???????????
And does this gettin' laid game involve driving around a certain area of a dock to engage in copulation.

Speaking of shocks, did anyone every hear about those PS2 controllers that were banned.
They gave you a little electric shock instead of vibrating. I think they might be legal in Japan.

Of course, there's no such game as The Sims-Getting Laid! But maybe if somebody from the guys who make it sees this, I want a cheque in advance!

I saw the Assassin's Creed trailer, it's short but sweet. Hopefully it'll be one of the release titles.

Assassin's Creed looked good.

It was actually tiny. I saw a picture of it in someones hand in a magazine.
That's why i think the shape would have worked.
I guess we'll have to do with ol' reliable design.

I don't see that being especially comfortable. With your hands, presumably, on the lower end of the boomerand, it's be a bit of a thumb stretch to hit those buttons.

It would have rocked.
You never know, a year or two from the PS3s release you might be able to but the boomerang version instead. Plausible considering the first dual shock arrived a couple of years after the release of the PSone

It's kind of like a futuristic boomerang.

Since E3 is pretty much over, and there were tons of more games on show, I’ll just add these links:

Both sites have trailers and videos from all the current, and next-gen consoles

Playstation don't seem to go for any radical changes with their controllers. It's a good basic design, really.

Holy nostalgia! Transport Tycoon Deluxe, that was it!!!
Sweet!
Thanks COF, looks like i can pick up where i left off ten years ago.

Here are just some random E3 pics.

I have been playing my mate's Nintendo DS all night, and I have decided to buy one. There will be four of us with them in total, which shoudl be great for Mario Cart, Bomberman and Metroid,

I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

Well the second one features a train on a track, so I should think so, no matter what she is wearing.

Oh, i know there are railroad games. But i was expecting Sid to be making moves upwards in gaming. Although, he usually knows what he's doing.
I played a PC demo about nine or ten years where i was building roads connecting small towns. That's all i did for several hours. Very addictive. Can't even think of the name though.

Wrenn, Railroads is already an established classic theme in the world of computer games. In fact, it really was Railroad Tycoon that was the grandfather of the recent 'tycoon boom', with Rollercoaster Tycoon being the father. I think there may even have been a Railroads! already, but I could be wrong.

One of the most addicting games I ever played was a game called Transport Tycoon, but I don't think there's anyone else out there who's played it. It was done by Chris Sawyer, who took the Railroad Tycoon theme and ran (quite successfully) with it and did, eventually, end up creating Rollercoaster Tycoon.

Here's a game the kids will be queuing at dawn to buy:
Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express (PC)

Sid Meier's Railroads! (PC) {I know Sid Meier has a lot credit for creating the whole God-Sim genre, but railroads? Railroads with an exclamation point?}

Yeah, I definitely agree -- it's the same principle as with sequels to movies. Hollywood has to diminish many great films to cash in on the same franchise later with sequels. So too it seems with games. (Would Mario Puzo EVER think in a million years when he wrote "the Godfather" that one day it would be a videogame?)

I'm personally looking forward to the Wii. It's nice to see someone thinking outside the box when it comes to direction that video games are going. I will also be nice to get hold of the Nintendo back catalouge of games - Prays for 'Zombies'

Hey Cult_of_Frank. Glad to hear you liked Psychonauts. Did it live up to your expectations for a Tim Schafer game?
