now for the 2nd part to the question - who's got best male voice in rock?
obviously our frank'll be up there, but to continue my current Low fetish, i'm going to go with Alan Sparhawk.
with Jonsi from Sigur Ros riding on Alans heals...

New one: the guy from the Psychedelic Furs and later in Love Spit Love.

edit: Nobody has a vibrato like Jello Biafra.

Maynard! Oh Yeah! Maynard is really strong! I like Perfect Circle, but Tool just brings me down. To me, Tool sounds like a droning machine that interrupts itself just enough to disrupt any discernable pattern.

My cool friends like em, so it must be me.

Whenever possible, I like to celebrate the accomplishments of Canada's beloved Nickelback.

That one was pretty self-explanatory. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I highly doubt that there's a fan of both Frank and Nickelback on the forum.

Geddy Lee on both the bad and good lists? I have to agree on that :P

Sorry I did repeat a couple names, but well worth the mention, as well as Daltrey and EC....

Another name missing from this list is Elvis Costello. Elvis Costello, damn it. Some people can't stand his voice, but I think he has such a distinct, solid sound. And if you've seen him live, he'll blow you away even more. A couple days ago a friend and I were trying to determine whether Frank or Elvis Costello had a better voice. We agreed that Frank's was more dynamic, but Elvis was way, way up there in amazingness.

Okay, I will.

Roger Daltrey.

His name is Dalton. He's got a degree in philosophy.

I am sure another guy sang lead on a couple. The keyboard player sang and the guitarist did too. They all look similar from afar though and they swap instruments so maybe I am confused.

I thought of another one who should be on the list - despite what you might think of him and his family, Ozzy Ozbourne definately has a voice that rock will not forget.

(as for the Irish Rugby Jersey - Cotton Traders in the UK do a cheap but decent replica for 10 pounds)

Actually, seems as good a place as any to ask, anyone know where I'll find an Ireland rugby shirt? my dads birthday is coming up.
