Nah, i doubt Virgin megastore give jobs to people who write on their application forms; "Likes : Butthole Surfers" So...you say you like surfing... hehe, thatd be a fun interview! |

Cant seem to get many good pics of it...but yeah. There is like two seperate parts to it, the bar, where there are sofas and stuff, and you go up a couple of steps, and there is a stage in the far right corner, and tables around the edges, with a large dance floor. It also has some sort of game things...i dont know ive never played on them. Its quite large.
If it helps we didnt go there when you came to London for the FB meet up.

Posted - 02/15/2006 : 07:22:32 The Holloways formed in Nambucca, a big pub up the Holloway Road. Nice pub, but the band suck. I saw them the other day, very much along the lines of the Libertines et al, pork-pie hats and all, but with even less interest.

Posted - 02/14/2006 : 13:37:45 a band i keep seeing loads about is The Holloways.
I should explain that Holloway Road (where i live) I a big, well known road in North London. And its a dump.
Why would you name your self after such a place? And im pretty sure they are from near here, cos they play in the local area a lot.
I havent seen them, nor do i want to.

Posted - 02/11/2006 : 01:16:11 I've known someone who didn't want to listen to Pinback because he hated the name. Most of Rob Crow's bands have terrible names (Optiganally Yours, Goblin Cock, there's even one named Fantasy Mission Force...) but I'm very fond of the guy and would definitely recommend getting past that and hearing the music. Even with Goblin Cock (in this case, you also have to get past the album cover).

Ween, I always thought they were some awful joke band, well they might be, but they make great music . Wish I'd gotten into them sooner.
Totally, someone tried to get me into them in about '95 and I judged them solely by their Chocolate and Cheese album cover which I wrote off as some kitschy 90's alternative crap. Maybe I should have listened to the music because now I'm hailing the mighty Boognish with the rest of the legions. |
