Open All Hours, Porridge, and the Two Ronnies. All brilliant.

Posted - 10/06/2005 : 13:25:48 The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town was my favorite sketch as a kid. I find the Two Ronnies pretty cheesy now but they've always had a special place in my heart from when I was a kid watching them on a Saturday night. I find it sad he's gone now.

Posted - 10/06/2005 : 09:46:51 Porridge is a bit of a comedy classic isn't it really, it's one of those that you wouldn't switch off if it was on.
I remember the four candles sketch coming top of a poll somewhere, simple genius. |

Posted - 10/06/2005 : 01:16:07 heres a couple you might wanna check out haywood porridge (set in prison, very funny) open all hours (in corner shop, also very funny and with david jason of only fools and horses fame) The two ronnies (with ronnie corbet, famous for the four candels and mastermind sketch i think, also good) was also in the frost report where he did the 'i know my place sketch' i think
another comic actor i associated with being a kid, although i think he was old even then, seemed like a good guy |

Here's the "Four Candles" sketch to download. It's about 15MB. I think it was voted the UK's favourite sketch onceuponawhileago.
