I didn't see any related threads to this so here she goes.
Are there any songs so annoying that you'd contemplate suicide before listening to them voluntarily?

Mine would have to be the Bare Naked Ladies song where he talks real fast about wasabi and action films and such, I can't remember the name.

Has anyone seen that new black eyed peas video?
I can't believe it!
Really, if someone came up to me and said here's the lyrics you're going to sing.....my hump my hump my lovely lady lumps...I'd say no fucking way. So stupid!

Oh, i like David Gray...i mean, its extremely poppy stuff and can be rather formulaic but is miles ahead of and much more listenable than his American counterpart John Mayer.

Segue.

That John Mayer tune about all the mothers being good to their daughters and all that crap...its just a disturbing tune...stop reminding mothers that their daughters are going to grow up and get their hearts broken by date-raping frat boys that use your music to get the girls into bed.

and stop breathing.

sing.

try it.

Funny, it was the wibbly-wobbly head that did it for me.

I've heard that he was better known as C*nty Blunty when he was a squaddie.

Katie Melua - 10 Million Bicycles

Though it doesn't necessarily induce vomit as much as it makes me want to put myself out of my misery

Folks, it doesn't get much worse than the smooth jazz version of "I like the way you move".
HeywoodJablome Posted - 09/24/2005 : 00:15:18
Call me an asshole, but I do like that David Gray song. I admitted to liking Dave Matthews, what else do I have to lose?
KimStanleyRobinson Posted - 09/23/2005 : 19:16:22

On a Friday no less!

Friday night I'm going nowhere
All the lights are changing green to red
Turning over TV stations
Situations running through my head
Well looking back through time
You know it's clear that I've been blind
I've been a fool
To ever open up my heart
To all that jealousy, that bitterness, that ridicule

Saturday I'm running wild
And all the lights are changing red to green
Moving through the crowd I'm pushing
Chemicals all rushing through my bloodstream
Only wish that you were here
You know I'm seeing it so clear
I've been afraid
To tell you how I really feel
Admit to some of those bad mistakes I've made

If you want it
Come and get it
Crying out loud
The love that I was
Giving you was
Never in doubt
Let go your heart
Let go your head
And feel it now

Babylon, Babylon

Sunday all the lights of London
Shining , Sky is fading red to blue
I'm kicking through the Autumn leaves
And wondering where it is you might be going to
Turning back for home
You know I'm feeling so alone
I can't believe
Climbing on the stair
I turn around to see you smiling there
In front of me

I don't remember hearing all of it, but I like that song. It's a bit corny and 70's, though. ;)

You can hear it in Superman, from Lois Lane' car radio, I think. Before she gets crushed by the earth tremor thingy..heehee!!

No, Kim. That song always induced vomit.
