Posted - 06/23/2005 : 05:09:17 Names of diseases are very popular in my country, especially the Dutch equivalents of cancer and tuberculosis. I never use the word cancer, I hate it when someone does, but tuberculosis all the time
The dutch slang word for tuberculosis is "tering" pronounded as tea-ring ("tea" like pronounced in "teardrop")

In French I clearly tend to overuse 'en fait' (in fact) and 'par contre' (on the other hand).
