I'll start: even when it's quite similar to the album title, it isn't the most important line of the record, or even the song, but I can't avoid singing when I hear it.

Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

"From the aeroplane over the sea"

"Shaking your head that way
It's so true what they say
Love is a pain in the ass
A pain that falls apart
I'm breaking rules again
You're breaking hearts again
Pretend to despise
When there's love in your eyes..."

In our office we have a Caroline. Every time I have to talk to her I think of 'Roses' by Outkast. Occasionally Neil Diamond, but not often (enough).

That bit in Readymade by Beck where it cuts down to the vocals and drums:

"An open road where I can breathe/where the lowest low is calling to me
I can pull myself back up back down/stuck together like I'm readymade
"

And I add a 3rd vocal harmony. Always.

Actually, theres lot of Beck songs I have to sing to. I guess he tweak my dials, so to speak. The middle 8 of Little One:

"Can't stand on crooked legs, I'm cross-eyed to the wall
In these harbour lights, satellites explode
"

Lovely lyric, lovely part, lovely song.

Also..
"I'm just lookin' for one divine haaaammmer"
"I feel the pain of everyone, then I feel nothing"
"C-c-c-collagen rock!"
"Advertisment looks and chops are a must, NO BIG HAIR!"
"If madness comes, so much the better, touché"
"Haaaaand me the DRUM STICK! SNARE! KICK!"
"I got a gut FEELIN'!"
and on and on..

Or maybe I should let kids' music into my house.
A couple of hours ago, I heard my kid singing
"Hellbound" to herself.

Carolyn, you should ban all kids' music from your house, just as I did.
Ban that shit.

Obviously I'm not that cool and have kids because I get silly cartoon songs stuck in my head as well as any new songs my daughter has learnt in school.

So that you're not alone
I wanna take you home with me
Well let's stay up all night
Or you can while I fall asleep

and

Yeah but his bird thinks it's amazing, though
So all that's left
Is the proof that love's not only blind but deaf

He talks of San Francisco, he's from Hunter's Bar
I don't quite know the distance
But I'm sure that's far
Yeah I'm sure that's pretty far

And yeah, I'd love to tell you all my problems
You're not from New York City, you're from Rotherham
So get off the bandwagon, and put down the handbook

Seriously, I sing this bit everytime, and it's in my head for weeks at a time:

I crept from a soft dimension
Where one of my souls was lighter

Xavi, I tried to respect your thread and not post a bazillion Morrissey lyrics, but Tre is taunting me...

I want to live and I want to love
I want to catch something that i might be ashamed of"

Oh, Xavi, get in the Morrissey mood, won't you? Pull the shades against that cheerful sunshine,
hang you head, and listen to the sad lyrics. Then think about ending it all.

If you're so very good-looking

[edit] damn straight Toba, catch me in the wrong mood and I'll be sat moping out the window nursing a coffee and an ashtray crying that lyric like a moron, being a girl is GREAT!

Oh you forgot the next few lines which are the most brutally best lines!!!!!!

"I know ...
'Cause tonight is just like any other night
That's why you're on your own tonight
With your triumphs and your charms
While they're in each other's arms..."

Everything is fine, kittie. I usually love to sing the darkest parts of a song. It makes me feel fine.

Don't try to butter me up, kittie, after your assessment of
"Now my heart is full," one of the most chock-full-of-singable-lyrics
songs from one of the most singable albums.

speaking of:

Sweetness, sweetness I was only joking
When I said I’d like to smash every tooth
In your head

Oh ... sweetness, sweetness, I was only joking
When I said by rights you should be
Bludgeoned in your bed

wailed when in the house on your own, ooooh

I promise I don't know why I took it. I catched it randomly and thought: "Hey! Why not?"

PS: Totally out of topic. Sorry.
