i own stuff by lagwagon, levellers, les savy fav, lard, libertines, led zeppelin, love and rockets, lush, and of course the last men on earth. i can think of local h, lennon, lifehouse, lowest of the low, mark lanegan band, less than jake, le tigre, low, limp bizkit, live, courtney love and len.

last men on earth!

LSF!

I'd say Tom Lehrer. John Linnell's solo album is great, too.

i like 'em.

actually they were the "los" in my list before I deleted "lonelyboys" and typed "lobos" cause I like "lobos" more than "lonely boys"

Ayways, I don't know many L bands, but I think Led Zeppelin is pretty good. I find them boring these days but in general they're ok.

Hmm, I prefer solo Lennon to most Beatles...

Was Lenny Kravitz included seriously on the "best" list? Or is that a joke? I'm biting my tongue

I like Les Savy Fav, Lightning Bolt , and le tigre, they're ok... and I like Most of the other bands posted...

Lenny Kravitz??????? Ahem...choke...sputter...I'm not sure if he belongs on the rung above or below Loverboy.

What about Lightnin' Hopkins? (or does he belong in "H"?)
Nick "The Basher" Lowe
and Zep

IMO, John Lennon solo basically sucks.

==edit==
and LITTLE RICHARD (pay respect to the people who gave us rock and roll)

It'd have to be Low, but Lone Justice run a close second. I've also got stuff by Le Tigre and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Off the top of my head I'll have to say Low, who're one of my favourite bands ever.
I also have records by Lagwagon, Led Zeppelin and Mark Lanegan that are pretty good.
