this is a thread for people who would like to have a simple, straight-forward, literal discussion. the aim of this thread is to prevent unnecessary misunderstandings, even if it's at the expense of what some of you call "humor"..

here are the rules of this thread: no metaphors, similies, allegories, conceits, facetiousness, sarcasm, hyperbole, or farcical remarks are allowed.

antics and buffoonery are prohibited, as are any and all shenanigans.

there will be no bantering, blitheness, or boisterous behavior. no wisecracks, witticisms, mischief and tomfoolery are allowed. under NO circumstances should anyone make comments that could be regarded as gleeful, good-natured, humorous, jocose, jocund, jokey, jolly, jollying, joshing, jubilant, larking, lighthearted, loony, merry, mirthful, nutty, pleasant, sociable, or zippy. (especially zippy)

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THERE BE ANY HIGH JINKS

there will be no excuses for mocking, ridiculing, satirizing, or teasing of any kind. no euphemisms are allowed. and, last but not least, it is not acceptable to make allusions (literary or otherwise) to people, places or things not literally contained in the sentences you put forth; no double entendres.

now, what shall we discuss?

[edit] just added to prohibited-list: mirth, fun.

Is someone who takes everything 'literary' a book kleptomaniac?

Or do you mean you're going to climb into a glass of liquor?

I would find such a voluminous container of liquor amusing.

How, exactly, does one get into a spirit? Aren't spirits non-corporeal, and hence not possible to physically enter and exit? Or do you mean you're going to climb into a glass of liquor?

I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied.

surely that depends on how it is served? could it not be that the head is cooked and then left for a while, thus cooling and condraticting your statement that the head portion is not cool? or is it strictly to be served hot? (or at least, not cool?)

also, i find it hard to believe your advice to "steer clear" of the head portion would ever be of much use. i have so far never been in a situation where i have found myself steering a vehicle towards a head portion and had the choice of continuing towards it or steering clear, nor can i imagine being in such a situation at any point in the future. regardless of this, the advice is appreciated.

how foolish of me. I should have chosen more appropriate words like... Do not eat the head portion, or at least while it is still attached to the cow. And do make sure, if you are going to ingest said heads, make sure you cook it well. The nose is probably quite chewy.

Thanks for clarifying. I was feeling uneasy about this thread going off on a "weird culinary habits" tangent.

You are of course aware of the fact that it is the "double-entendre" that makes me, and probably others, find this post "funny", which brings about the question: who broke the rules, you, by writing this post loaded with "innuendo", or me, by reading "innuendo" into it and finding it "amusing"?

I am "literally" groping for any excuse to get back on board after 2 weeks away from the forum. I'm sure it shows.

the last thing i would ever do in this thread is post something containing innuendo. the whole reason i started this thread is to avoid all of that.

when i said i am "pro-head" i meant, quite plainly, that i enjoy fellatio. but i do see now that, in the context of the previous posts, you may have thought i was talking about cow head (or "cabeza," in Spanish), commonly served in Mexico and other parts of the world. i apologize.

from now on, in this thread, if you're going to change the subject (as i did) please make it clear that you're doing so.

I consider a stick of butter evil.

In the US, a stick of butter is half a cup of butter. This means
that pie crust contains a cup of butter. Anything with that much
butter is evil.

whats a stick of butter?
come to think of it, whats a curst?

darwin Posted - 06/11/2005 : 18:26:37
My pie curst takes TWO sticks of butter to make. It's delicious.
