Inspired by the "posters paintings pictures postcards" thread, I've decided to start one about everybody's favorite musician-promoting shirts. (Non-shirt articles of clothing are also welcome.)

As you might have guessed, I have several TMBG T-shirts. Some of my favorites are:

I wish I could find some pictures of my Camper Van Beethoven shirts, but I can't. I'm actually wearing my CVB Revolutionary Manifesto T-shirt right now.

I also have a Weird Al shirt with this picture on it:

The only Frank-related shirt I have is a dark green Pixies one, which isn't that impressive, but I had to buy SOMETHING at that Pixies show I attended.

I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied.

I never said I did

it's a lyric, I just happened to say to my t shirt making friend that I thought it'd look good on a shirt
and hey presto
kinda does

I want to live, breathe, I want to be part of the human race

So you no longer want to get fucked like a whore in a porno? You've outgrown that desire?

Ooh did I mention that the Fantomas show had the best merch I've seen in ages - managed to get a brilliant t-shirt with a Kitten on that I now love to bits.

star you have awesome eyes!
carolyanna I love Jane's, so glad to see that pic!
and kathryn.....If I ever get my damned digital camera and scanner, I'll post my fabulous Tragically Hip
T shirt that is black and has this great album cover on it:

THAT is a great pic. Beautiful.

Don't have too many of these since I thought I should get rid of most of my old ones when I left an ex (stupidest mistake ever) but I still have......

can't find the shirt but it's from this album:

and a few others that I can't find online. This is too hard, my boyfriend and I have probably close to 30 between us, about a dozen of which are actually mine exclusively. Everything from Bridge School concerts to Deke Dickerson to local acts and Metallica circa Black album and Eric Clapton and Pink Floyd.
OK so it looked easier to participate then it turned out to be hehe

If anybody cares, my humble little Pixies Boston show review includes some shirt-related info.
I'll try to post a photo of the shirts I got.

starmekitten Posted - 06/13/2005 : 14:04:07
what are you implying there Kathryn?

I couldn't even buy one Nic, I got a knock off one for my brother outside the venue, but I had my purse theived before the gig so was broke as.

*sob*
Surfer Rosa Posted - 06/13/2005 : 13:39:21
I should have bought more at the London show. I've lost track of the amount of t shirts I should have bought and then either forgot to or was distracted.

I still kick myself for limiting my fall tour purchases to two shirts.
I won't be making that mistake this week! That sound I just heard?
That was my budget being flushed down the toilet.

Surfer Rosa Posted - 06/13/2005 : 13:29:23
EXACTLY!
kathryn Posted - 06/13/2005 : 13:26:54
Exactly! So what you're saying is, I have a duty to the rest of the forum
to buy as many different Pixies Ts as I can get my hands on!

Surfer Rosa Posted - 06/13/2005 : 13:25:38
Well it can be like a trial run so that the rest of us will know which t's to go for when we see them later this year. By then you'll be able to let us know which styles have kept their shape, which prints still look good and all those other important things that I can't think of right now.
kathryn Posted - 06/13/2005 : 13:22:01
I doubt that I'll hold myself to my T-shirt budget at the Pixies show.
I'll probably buy more than the two I am telling myself I will buy.

I found a Bloodhound Gang t that I forgot I had this weekend. Not sure if I'll be wearing it in public though - pink with "hooray for boobies" emblazoned across the front.

I'm glad Homers called me a fool.

Right, well apologies for the lameness of the pic, but you maybe get an idea of the shirt. Thanks to Tre for sorting it out, my internet is being vicious.

I ordered this recently from the US. I thought it was nice that a band offered something other than a standard t-shirt. I have loads of band t-shirts.

I was so happy to find this t-shirt. I swear the neck is great!
