Posted - 04/21/2005 : 17:40:18 Since there are TWO threads, does that mean we have to jump twice?

Posted - 03/16/2005 : 20:59:49 I also like how these new age hippies (no doubt) think it would be a good to all of sudden alter climates and lengthen daylight. So much for animal and plant migration and breeding schedules. |

Posted - 03/16/2005 : 14:00:10 So basically you're saying if I do this, I need to buy new watches and various electronic devices? And our winter nighttimes will be even longer in Canada?
Nuts to that.

Posted - 03/16/2005 : 13:46:28 So, yeah. Slower rotation means a longer day (no need for Einstein there). But, it also means extended nighttime hours. They don't tell you that. They get you jumping and next thing you know your nighttime is 14 hours long. Damn fine print.
And wouldn't you need everyone jumping on the same side of the planet?
Nice one Denis. |

Posted - 03/16/2005 : 13:41:22 Well, if the earth spins slower, the day would be longer. But then, time is made up concept, so... uh, paging Einstein...
I feel like Jason Schartman's character in I heart Huckabees:
"Have you ever trascended time and space?"
"What? Ya... well, no. Well, time but not space. Okay I don't know what you're talking about" |

Or send us to a fiery death as we're sucked into the Sun.
Also, how can one extend daytime hours for everyone? Are we going to get a second sun to shine on the other side? |
