Also, how can one extend daytime hours for everyone? Are we going to get a second sun to shine on the other side? |

Well, if the earth spins slower, the day would be longer. But then, time is made up concept, so... uh, paging Einstein...
I feel like Jason Schartman's character in I heart Huckabees:

So, yeah. Slower rotation means a longer day (no need for Einstein there). But, it also means extended nighttime hours. They don't tell you that. They get you jumping and next thing you know your nighttime is 14 hours long. Damn fine print.
And wouldn't you need everyone jumping on the same side of the planet?
