What would you put on a Christmas compilation?

Not necessarily the cheesey stuff - I mean the tunes you find yourself playing more at this time of year. This stuff always seems to make it onto my playlist round about now:

Red House Painters (most of "Songs for Blue Guitar")
Tanya Donnelly (Whiskey Tango Ghosts)
Mojave 3 (Ask Me Tomorrow)
Morphine (Cure for Pain)
XFM Christmas Album (yes this is probably cheating - but it is a damn fine complilation)

I guess this is more of a seasonal thing than an out and out Christmas thing. Actually alot of the stuff I listen to at this time of year is down right depressing - but it just seems to suit the cold/early evenings

Anywho...

I think the album actually entitled 'Ultimate Christmas Album' is the ultimate Christmas album. They weren't lying. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Help me! He keeps making me post!

mmmm the walkmen

The album grew on me very much, I wasn't sure at first.

I think the perv factor of the videos might have helped that along though, I'm such a d.o.m

Yeah, I'm looking at putting together some sort of indie rock Christmas album, I'll have to check out that XFM one.

Definitely I'd add The Walkmen's Christmas Party to the list. And I agree on some Boney M.

I know the manager for Boney M. Sort of. Well, shes a friends girlfriend..

Now I do as I please and lie through my teeth. Someone might get hurt but it won't be me. I should probably feel cheap but I just feel free and a little bit empty. No it isn't so hard to get close to me. There will be no arguments. We will always agree. And I will try and be kind when I ask you to leave. We will both take it easy. But if you stay too long inside my memory, I will trap you in a song tied to a melody and I will keep you there so you can't bother me.
