Posted - 10/16/2011 : 10:10:34 I was a very active collector of live/rare recordings from around '97 thru '03. I recently ripped my Frank Black and Pixies cdrs to my external hard drive(s). Looking for a good home for the discs. There's probably about 90 Frank Black discs and 40 Pixies. Quality/source/rareness varies, obviously. Some great stuff, many hours of listening pleasure. I don't have a list of everything, and would rather deal with it all in one shot. Discs only, but I've got typed out tracklists/notes for the majority of them that I can email you. For shipping cost reasons, US buyer only, sorry. Asking $50 total paypal'd.. sound ok? That should cover shipping and a bit left over for an extravagant night on the town. Whoever gets these is encouraged to share them however they want.. megaupload, dimeadozen, whatever. email me of interested. thanks
edit: it's now been spoken for.

Posted - 11/19/2011 : 06:07:26 dimeadozen isn't an invite site. you have to be a member to use it. go to the signup page. if it tells you there are no places available, just sit there for a few minutes refreshing the page. they purge unused accounts constantly, so if you refresh the page for a few mins, an account will become available. and rest, if history.
let us know how ya go - i'm away for a few days so can't put the moe's cafe one anywhere yet, but if you've had no luck, or inclination, by the time i get back i'll put it on megaupload....it is a great wee show.

Posted - 11/17/2011 : 21:20:18 a great one from '94 this one - 3 days after teenager was released. 1/2 solo electric, 1/2 band:
http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=382260 Frank Black McCabe's, Santa Monica, USA 1994-05-27 (Late Show)
Lineage: ? > cd-r (unknown gen) > EAC v0.99 prebeta 5 (Secure Mode) > flac > you
Setlist: (Solo) 01 Handyman 02 Headache 03 Whatever Happened To Pong? 04 Old Black Dawning 05 The Man Who Was Too Loud 06 I Heard Ramona Sing 07 Sir Rockaby 08 This Is Where I Belong 09 White Noise Maker 10 Brackish Boy 11 At The End Of The World 12 Adda Lee 13 Space Is Gonna Do Me Good 14 Freedom Rock (Band) 15 Oddballs 16 Two Spaces 17 Hate Me 18 Men In Black 19 Calistan 20 Czar 21 Superabound 22 Big Red 23 Fu Manchu 24 Vanishing Spies 25 Ten Percenter 26 Thalassocracy 27 Two Reelers 28 Bad Wicked World 29 Hostess With The Mostest
Length: 82:44
Info: A very good show this one - quality is very good, and alot of banter. Frank starts playing a solo electric set. He is then joined by his band (Eric Drew Feldman - bass, Nick Vincent - drums, Lyle Workman - guitar). Teenager Of The Year was released 3 days prior (on May 24th 1994) so he plays most of the album - perhaps this was the album release party? Frank talks about the songs a lot, introducing almost every one, which makes for a great show. They played 2 shows at McCabes that day, and this is the 2nd show.

Info: Mammoth 38 song set from Frank and the Catholics. Very decent sound quality throughout. So hard to make things out is cut in the middle as the minidisc is changed out. There are numerous cuts between tracks after that as taper obviously paused recording to quarantee all the gig was recorded. Some tracks missing couple seconds off beginning and/or end because of this. Set includes "I Will Run After You" which was very rarely performed in 2001.
