That just proves that it's someone who had heard the song, not necessarily Frank himself.

I'm not sure I follow... are you saying you want the songs to be less personal in general? Or that you just don't agree with the subject adressed in this particular song? |

Posted - 10/01/2004 : 08:50:52 Mark Plati, like Reeves Gabrel, has done a fair amount of session/production work with Bowie in recent years. He also toured with him live until recently, when abandoned David for Robbie Williams. No joke. |

who is mark plati? isn't it dave grohl on that track? or is mark plati also?
Yes, drums/vocals were by Dave Grohl but Mark Plati played bass, plus he had a mixed by & co-produced by credit as well as a part song-writing credit on Jewel..

And it's hard to be a human being, and it's harder as anything else, and I'm lonesome when you're around, and I'm never lonesome when I'm by myself, and I miss you when you're around. |

Posted - 08/09/2004 : 11:00:43 No, I'm not kidding. I think it'd be great. I imagine Frank singing it upper register, instead of Hazelwood low. Maybe plaintif upper register, like on Caribou.
Kim and Frank do marvellous covers. Who else can get away with covering the Beatles and making it work? |

I'm not sure if you were kidding, Alpha, but Frank and Kim on "Some Velvet Morning" would be out of this world. Only Kim should do the Lee H. part while Frank takes Nancy's. |

Posted - 07/26/2004 : 03:41:50 He quotes J. Carrey: Frank said once his fave actor was Jim Carrey, he said something like "timeless talent". All those songs left over. I just hope they'll be given on an extra CD for european edition or make it as B sides of a single (like single+3 or 4 unreleased tracks). My only hope is that they won't end up on I tunes. Man, I hate not having a real CD and I hate MP3's shitty sound. |
