Seems it has different cover art for the UK version. Just listening to Re-Make/Re-Model, sounds good so far.

The Truth Is Out There

Frank performed it during his BBC Radio 1 interview the other day. That was the first I'd heard of it. I subsequently bought the album it comes from, "The Good, The Bad & The Queen." Great album. Not sure whose version I like better -- Frank's or the Albarn version.

Just downloaded from itunes, and it doesn't sound too bad at all, frank's voice is slightly husky, but after a tour it is expected. But anyway that is a minimal gripe, it is pretty great, and I do love the good the bad and the queen cover.

There was a new song recorded during the session.

Incidentally, Fb's PR person at CV is one of the most obnoxious people i've had the misfortune of dealing with.

BTW, I think this thread is in the wrong section. Back when the forum had mods, the thread would have been moved to 'FB News'.

The tracklist is slightly weird, but hey. I loved the new, 1-guitar version of Manitoba.

I'm no marketing genius, but what good is achieved by releasing the same songs on two different releases at the same time. Won't it reduce the impact of Bluefinger? Then again, I don't buy from iTunes.

iTunes bonus tracks are pretty common. I'm not sure what, business-wise, it's good for (though it's obviously good for iTunes), but I'm certain everyone involved knows what they're doing.

I'm just glad to have a recording of this touring band coming up (word of the studio session being done quickly is very encouraging!) The reviews make this Euro tour sound great. Even the NEGATIVE reviews here make these shows sound great ("Too loud"? "Too much screaming"? Cool!)

If, like me, you'd prefer buying Bluefinger on CD (or vinyl, I'm hoping), you could go to iTunes and only buy the exclusive tracks. (You can just purchase iTunes bonus tracks and not the whole album, right? I haven't bought from iTunes in a long time.)

Not so much. Like the new Social Distortion Greatest Hits disc has 2 new songs on it. One of them is an 'album only' track.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the iTunes EP will include more than 2 or 3 songs from Bluefinger.
