Posted - 09/01/2006 : 18:18:53 I understand this may sound like BS but this is no BS honest to god I siht you not.......Last night at the FB acoustic show (8/31 Harlows Sacramento,CA) I was sitting very happily and attentive in the front row, he was standing smack dab in front of me (go check out pix in the 8/31 Sac thread)....but this is besides the point.....I was sitting there and it was towards the end of the show and he hadn't played too many FMRM songs and I had read that he was playing "Fitzgerald" recently....Figuring he was going to play something else from FMRM I turned to my Girlfriend as FB was paused playing and said in her ear...."I think he's going to play 'Fitzgerald' ", meaning I think he's going to play at least by the end of the show.....I felt really cool when a second after I said that he began playing "Fitzgerald"....
I'd like to use this new topic as a place to post Psychic-spirituo connection-moments you've had in a FB show.....I know this may sound strange to some of you but FB yields some serious musical power and has a serious connection with his listeners....Music in general is psychic spiritual especially one of the greatest performing to a live audience ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I knew a girl with sad blue eyes But at the feast I lost my psychic prize I did forget what the tarot maid did say I burn today, I burn today

"I don't know, it seems so weird."......lol
"So I go back to my seat for the beginning of the show.....The man walks out dressed in black wearing "rose colored" glasses. Everyone was cheering and he came up to the mic and said something like "I don't have a band man". Well for me he did his best "Jesse Fuller one man band" with his voice and guitar....he killed it! Bandless and all! So he grabbed his guitar and broke into Los Angeles....yes!"http://forum.frankblack.net/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16858
He doesn't omit it from many of HIS mixes

Back in '96 when I first saw FB live, before the gig I kept telling my friend "I bet they're gonna kick in with The Marsist" over and over, and guess what? They did!

Posted - 09/03/2006 : 08:30:43 that's a cool story prozacrat. this really doesn't count but when they were doing the sellout tour I just had a feeling that they were doing more shows after that. |

Posted - 09/03/2006 : 01:04:31 I can beat that. On Feb. 23rd, 2000, Frank came up to me and started saying my name, "Dietr," over and over again, and I never introduced myself to him. I had hauled gear for him and the Catholics the night before, and I'm assuming Scott or Dave McCaffrey had told him my name at some point, but I like to think that Frank is God and just knew it.

Posted - 09/02/2006 : 22:04:21 Nothing exists until or unless it is observed. An artist is making something exist by observing it. And his hope for other people is that they will also make it exist by observing it. I call it "creative observation." Creative viewing. William S. Burroughs |

It was starting to irritate me. "Bad Harmony" finished, then "Headache" ended. He screamed for "Los Angeles" once more, then again! Not even "All My Ghosts" would shut this guy up. I'm sure you've all heard these one-song, screaming, requesting idiots before.
After several more "Los Angeles" outbursts from this guy, I had had enough. I turned to my friend in the passenger seat and said: "Dude, I didn't put Los Angeles on this mix."
