Posted - 05/25/2004 : 14:17:53 I have never had my tickets exchanged at the Brixton Academy and I have probably been to around 20 concerts there in the last couple of years. Nearly all of them have been sell outs too. |

Posted - 05/25/2004 : 08:22:02 Received my tickets in the mail today. I hope the exchange for souvenir tix thing is going to happen for sure. Some of the tix pictured on eBay look much better than these little ones.
Now I'm going to start worrying about my flight reaching London on time.

Posted - 05/25/2004 : 03:22:52 when i got tickets for new orders 3 nights at brixton in 2001 (all for stnading) each agency had different style tickets - & none were "souvenir" style...
this is why events unerve me |

Posted - 05/25/2004 : 03:18:53 yeah, ticketweb are crap for posting tickets. i've had a set go missing in the post, but not that suprising since they just send them regular mail. they did replace mine very quickly and easily tho.

Posted - 05/25/2004 : 02:25:23 I didn't have to sign for them. The tickets came in a standard handwritten envelope by air mail. I bought some tickets through radiohead's website a while back and that was a much different package, with tracking and delivery confirmation via signiture required and noted on the envelope. There's no such information here, just your standard envelope. So you won't have to sign for it, but if it gets lost it looks like you'd be hard pressed to track them and get them replaced. |

Posted - 05/24/2004 : 15:46:44 I just got my ticketweb Saturday tickets today by standard airmail, and I'm in the United States. I never contacted ticketweb after the initial order, so I guess there is no overseas mail restriction. FYI, these are unfortunately standard ticketweb tickets, not souvenier style. |

Posted - 05/17/2004 : 08:50:18 This is a bit confusing.... 1. Does this overseas mail restriction apply to tix purchased from Stargreen?
2. Does it exhist at all anymore?

Posted - 05/17/2004 : 06:07:04 The only way they can sort the standing from the non-standing at Brixton is with big colour coded tickets for the bouncers stationed inside. So those with halfarsed ticketweb tickets will get them exchanged at the door for nice big souvenir ones. Put them in plastic before entering the sweaty mosh pit. |

Posted - 05/14/2004 : 13:10:23 Just got a call from my friend in Londen, his wife has the tickets in her hands. She says it is plain printed tickets. I don't care, I'm just excited we're going to see the Pixies. The remaining two tickets I'll pick up at the venue.

Posted - 05/14/2004 : 08:28:20 My ticketweb tix arrived this morning!!! HURRAH!!!
Though they're rather small, not large like someone else had described them.... do different ticket outlets do different tix? how weird!
Anyways i'm just over the moon to actually have them in my possession!

Posted - 05/14/2004 : 03:51:00 I was in touch with Ticketweb as well when I saw that they wouldn't post my (overseas) tickets... They now claim to have send them (yesterday). So, Wilhelm, maybe you should ask them to send them anyway and they (say they) will! Will be happy when I've got them in my hands, not earlier... Frank |

Posted - 05/13/2004 : 23:44:41 My Ticketweb tickets won't be posted to me because of my overseas address but my mates, living in Londen haven't received their tickets for Saturday yet. I'm a bit pissed at Ticketweb for not sending me a notice about them not posting my tickets. I'm curious if anything on the Ticketweb order status page changes once they've posted the tickets. If someone who have received their tickets could check please?

Have you guys received your Saturday tickets yet? Does Ticketweb change anything on the orer status page once they've posted the tickets?
wilhelm
I've received my Saturday tickets from Wayahead about a week ago. I don't want to worry you, but on a couple of occasions I didn't receive tickets for the Leadmill I had booked online with Ticketweb. I try to avoid them whenever possible now. I use Jacks Records for all my Leadmill gigs.

Posted - 05/11/2004 : 23:45:02 I was under the impression that the reason we didnt get our tickets months ago was because they were going to be souvenir tickets, turns out they are just poopy normal ticketweb ones, cest la vie, I GOT PIXIES TICKETS!!!!!!!

I got my Wednesday tickets from Ticketweb today. I am still waiting for my Saturday Ticketweb tickets.
I thought the tickets were going to be special printed ones, mine are just standard Ticketweb tickets.
The Saturday ones I've got from Wayahead are proper printed ones, not the standard ones with a band name inserted in the blank.

And then after I've picked up the tickets, do I have to line up at the back of the queue for the doors? I hope not.

No, once you're in that's okay. The security at Brixton aren't that mean (until someone tries to crowd surf)! |

Good! Thanks for the info Benji. I was kicking myself for not choosing that option from the start. Do you know if there will be seperate queues for the box office and the doors? Also, at what time does the box office open?
wilhelm
Went to see JSBX at Brixton a couple of years ago and was picking up tickets (I normally have them delivered), it was a different queue for the box office. The queue that goes down the side of the venue was for existing ticket holders, and the queue that went on down the street was for the box office pick-up. I assume its still the same arrangement. Remember to bring the same credit card that you booked them with!
Cheers.

i wouldn't think so. i'm also picking mine up from the box office - but i wasn't allowed to get the tickets sent out....
usually when you get to the initial people on the door, you say you gotta pick 'em up and they send you towards another line. might be different for the birxton - never picked tickets up from there before.
i'm paranoid about something going wrong with my pickups and me not getting in. irrational, but scary nonetheless.
