Ok, my wife and I will be in the restaraunt at around 4-4:30. I'll be wearting khaki cargo shorts and a grey t-shirt, and I have a goatee and glasses. Feel free to say hi if you recognize me and maybe we can have a drink while killing time before the show.

Thx for the info. I can't believe how many people are travelling around North America to see the tour. At least Boise to Spokane is a cheap flight. I'm still pissed I missed out on the Boise tickets. This concert will end up costing me over $260. What the hell, it's worth it.
Sounds like this Big Easy must have a restaurant like the one in Boise. That's where I may hang out before the show. It's my first trip to Spokane and don't know a soul in the city. My other friends have no appreciation for the Pixies and will not ne taking part in the pilgrimage. |

my girlie and i are flying up tomorrow morning from LA (i'm doing laundry right now)..
i'll probaby be wearing a long sleeve black or brown western shirt, since that's pretty much all i wear. and the girl i'll be with has a tattoo of an apple on her leg, and a question mark on her arm. that's about the best i can do. come say hi if you see us. |

Me and my husband will be there!! We just got back from Victoria and Thursday Vancouver, sitting here moping that we didn't stay for tonight in Vancouver--last night was sooo incredible!! We'll be flying out tomorrow afternoon to Spokane. You are all in for an awesome night!
We might try the restaurant thing, but from the two experiences I've had so far there was not a huge rush for the front of the stage. We were almost last in line last night when the doors opened and we were able to walk in and get a space right up at the barrier, to Kim's side, with no problem.

Wow, things are really heating up. Great to see all the people travelling in from out of town.
Directions from I-90...coming from the West I'll assume...take the Maple St. exit...take a left and head north on Walnut...take a right heading east on 3rd...take a left heading north on Lincoln...take a left heading east on Sprague...you'll be there...the Big Easy is on the block flanked by Monroe and Lincoln on the west and east and Sprague and 1st on the north and south. That's only one way to get there. If you get lost, don't sweat it. Downtown Spokane is not very big and if you circle around a couple of times you'll find it.
The Ridpath Hotel is very close...about three blocks east of the Big Easy. Just walk out the front door of the hotel and the venue is three blocks to your west. There's a liquor store right next door to the hotel, and if you're hungry there is an excellent BBQ and a sushi restaurant right across the street. Also a decent newstand on the other side.
Sorry, but I don't know what kind of Tequila they have at the Big Easy. I'm a Vodka man myself. They have a full bar though, so should be able to accomodate any drink requests. I should ask my brother-in-law...he always drinks (too many) Red Bull and Tequila drinks whenever he's there.

I'm starting to get a bit excited. I'm not a big poster, but I keep up with this site. I saw Frank in Seattle last year, so I am already impressed by the man. I live in Boise, but missed out on the tickets for the show here. After a bit of apprehension on the website, I got a Spokane ticket. I'm flying to Spokane Saturday morning and staying at the westcoast Ridpath hotel. anyone know how close it is? Anyway, can't wait. |

The Tradewinds is closer than the Downtowner, but they're both fairly close. Downtown Spokane is not that big. The Best Western on North Division is no longer downtown (about 3+ miles away), but is still easily in short driving distance if you don't mind not being in walking distance to the venue. |

Hmmm...alright, we're reaching now...try the Downtowner Motel (165 S Washington St 509-838-4411) or the Tradewinds Motel (907 W 3rd Ave 509-838-2091).
Other than that I would have to say you're going to have to spring for a bit more, or make the very short drive from downtown over to the Sunset Hill area and look for a Vacancy sign. |

If you're looking for an inexpensive motel, I'd suggest the Rodeway Inn right across the street from the Big Easy. Their phone number is 509-747-1041. They might already be booked up though. |
