Hi again guys/gals,

I would absolutely love to get 4 tickets to the Davis show. At this point, it's the only show that I know I can definitely schedule to see.

Can we start a sign-up list for a ticket-sharing program among people on this forum? The idea seemed to work really well for some of the canadian shows. We'll all try to buy the maximum number of tickets for the show and share our extras with listmembers at face value? If I can get the maximum 6 tickets, I'll sell my 2 extras to forum members at cost. What do you say?

lemme know what you think...I wouldn't mind organizing and keeping an updated list of people who are up for it.

Let's screw the scalpers.

Congrats to the winners, and thanks again Puck. Really cool of you to stick to the ticket-sharing arrangement, I'm sure you could have done pretty well selling your tix online.

Will probably see you at the show, I'll be the begging guy out front...
Erebus Posted - 03/15/2004 : 08:00:46
Congrats to both winners. Well done puck.
echo park Posted - 03/14/2004 : 02:40:36
Hot Damn! Looks like things are starting to go my way!

...all because I said "Puckhead, you rule!" a little while back.

Tell you all what... I gotta scrounge up a second ticket for my girlfriend or she'll shoot me if I go without her. If for some reason I'm not successful and I don't go, I'll draw a 'replacement winner ' from the remaining eight of you for this ticket. But now I'm half way there...

Wow... this is fun - wouldn't it be great if somebody showed up with more tickets to unload?
HashWax Posted - 03/13/2004 : 21:20:24
well, i cant say that im not dissappointed, but congrats to you guys, and have a good time at the show!

I somewhat 'weigthed' the draw accordingly so that early posters to the thread were placed withing the middle of the range of numbers. I then instant messaged two friends online and asked them each to pick a number between 1 and 13. The numbers chosen were 8 and 10. Therefore, the lucky winners are darwin (#8) and echo park (#10). Congrats.

I just make sure that you guys are keeping an eye on this thread and hopefully have been anxiously awaiting to see who gets the extra tickets. So, both of you, darwin and echo park, will need to contact me in order to claim your prize. You have till Monday 3/15 3pm PST to get back to me or these tix will be redrawn. I'm just having a bit of fun with this :-)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I can't believe it. I'll be emailing you puckhead56.

Here's what I have for the final list:

kottke
darwin
HashWax
EG
Mickey
tneff
echo park
johnny_4_president
varnish
la la like you
grimtdn
Sonic Noise
igottabrokenface

Have another look in case I've made a mistake. I'm gonna be back online sometime around 5-6pm on Saturday to check up on this and to do the draw for tickets. I'll probably just pull numbers out of a hat.

E, If you can post the list for Friday, that'll be great. I'll review it also to make sure that we have everyone who's eligible in the lottery.

I think most of the stated opinions have been in favor of two lucky winners of one ticket each.
puckhead56 Posted - 03/10/2004 : 00:45:52
OK, how about Friday 3/12, 3pm PST for a cutoff. I'll figure out some way for a random lottery.

Again, with the two extra tickets I have available, am I looking to pick 1 or 2 winners? A single winner will get both tickets while two separate winners will get one each. Let me know what you all think and majority will decide.

Another reminder...I am not giving away these tickets for free. They will be sold to the winner(s) at cost. Cost = $34.33 ($25 + convenience + handling fees from tickets.com).
HashWax Posted - 03/09/2004 : 23:32:52
yeah, i think earlier than monday would be better. how about friday or saturday?

*brandon
darwin Posted - 03/09/2004 : 21:06:44
I would vote for doing it earlier than Monday. I would just like to know if I need to consider using eBay or dreaming up other scenarios to see the Pixies on this tour.
EG Posted - 03/09/2004 : 19:20:44
I agree that puck should run it. I am happy to keep tabs, but puck should run it, if he doesn't mind. Puck do you play d&d? you could roll the 20 sided die....just kidding.

Pick the numbers our of a hat, thats easy and fair. Although, its entirely up to you!
I will post again later this week. I will make a final list monday night, and puck can pick at his convenience. (how does that sound puck? what do you think?)
-Eli
Erebus Posted - 03/09/2004 : 12:54:40
maybe you should run it, puck. you got the power.
puckhead56 Posted - 03/09/2004 : 12:49:35
wow, I seriously can't be the only one with extras???
anyways, who's gonna run the lottery? are we gonna have one lucky winner who'll get both tickets or 2 winners who'll each get a ticket?
i'd say we give till Monday 3/15 to cut off on who's in and determine lottery rules.
echo park Posted - 03/08/2004 : 21:19:38
echo park here, confirming my hopes of winning the lottery.

Puckhead you rule!!
darwin Posted - 03/08/2004 : 17:00:36
Thanks Erebus and congratulations on getting tickets.
Erebus Posted - 03/08/2004 : 16:37:29
Please remove me from the list of lottery hopefuls. I already had a ticket for Boise and over the weekend I got one for the second Eugene show. Even with Bosie I was feeling greedy and now I know I don't need the Davis ticket. Don't want to drive from Eugene to Davis in one day. How does the band pull it off? Guess a bus can be a home. Good luck folks, especially you Darwin.
HashWax Posted - 03/08/2004 : 16:01:09
yeah, i was wondering about the lottery as well. how about it, EG? are you going to do it? and if so, when will it be done?

*brandon
johnny_4_president Posted - 03/08/2004 : 13:09:09
wow, odds to make one tremble. okay, well, keep hope alive.
any word on a date and time for the lottery?
have been checking these pages pretty frequently,
but not everybody works in front of a computer,
wouldn't want to miss it.
peace be with yous.

Can't complain about the odds, a 20% chance of getting a ticket? I think our chances are a lot better than trying to get through on tickets.com! Good luck everyone.

I can be taken off the list. I was able to get tickets, but don't have any extras. Sorry :-(

I'd love it if everyone could go.
igottabrokenface Posted - 03/05/2004 : 12:11:00
i requested tickets before the cutoff point and am not on that list.
Not that it really matters but just FYI

looks like the supply/demand ratio = zero/infinity , or might as well be
