2. Ready for another live viewing now, though unlikely as I live in Australia, maybe 2007?
3. +/- 4,114 days since I've seen FB live. '94 is a distant memory...

Posted - 12/20/2005 : 16:49:37 well I am not sure. I saw the early and late shows on 12/18 but the late show went into 12/19. So it's either been 367 or 366 days *sniffle* |

Posted - 12/16/2005 : 22:01:22 Rich Gilbert didn't play the Mint show I was at. It was just EDF, Tepper, Frank, an unknown drummer, and Dave Philips. Not really a Catholics show.
I've probably seen Frank five or six times and Rich wasn't at any of them. |

Posted - 12/16/2005 : 19:59:57 i remember rich gilbert being on guitar. his pedal steel broke and he sat there and fixed it with a screwdriver. Franks said the good thing about Rich was that he could fix stuff.. also Joey Santiago and his wife were sitting right next to where my girlfriend and i were standing. my (then) girlfriend talked to his wife for a little bit. i'll have to check gigography but i'm thinking maybe it wasn't 01 when i saw him at The Mint. didn't he do some other shows around that time? it wasn't EDF on bass the night i was there so i'm confused |

Posted - 12/16/2005 : 15:30:26 uhhhhh those 2 sold out mint shows. you bastards. even I got dressed up and thought "there's no way he'll sell out both shows, I'll get in..." very funny.
I can't believe there's actually people who don't want to pay to see pixies play the same songs again! I also can't belive that I agree. It was nice while it lasted. |

Posted - 12/15/2005 : 08:25:01 Yeah, it was late '01. I have no idea who was on drums that night. I also got the impression that Dave Philips hadn't been playing with Frank for very long (I wasn't sure, though, because that was the first time I'd seen Frank since the tour for the first album in '93). |

Posted - 12/15/2005 : 08:14:28 I saw the late MINT show too, assuming it was the one in December '01. Do either of you remember who it was playing drums? I felt stupid sitting right at the front, eating pizza while Frank sang like 2 feet away. And remember how Tepper would stamp his foot all crazily while he sang his opening set?

did he end with So Bay?
You musta gone to the late show. I went to the early show. He opened with "I Gotta Move" on the acoustic, then played a bunch of new songs (most/all of which later appeared on Black Letter Days), then a block of Pixies, then Calistan and some others. I don't think he played So Bay. |

Did you go to that show floop? With EDF on bass and Moris Tepper? I reckon that's my fave Frank show of them all. |

I would not pay to see them again. The show at the Greek Theatre (Los Angeles) was a disappointment and I'm tired of those songs.
