Posted - 06/12/2005 : 03:41:52 Who else is going to see Pixies at Reading (or Leeds) Festival this year. It's going to be amazing. Nice to see that they can headline it again (I wasn't there last time but oh well). It's so good to actually see them deservedly headlining a festival this year. Lets all get hyped up about it early!

OK, I feel better now. My faith in our community here at fb.net has been restored somewhat. I guess I've got this vision of how the world should be and when it's not that way I become a little disenchanted.

Sooooo glad I go to Reading.
Yeah, so glad I was at Reading. Only a few explosoins and trolley wars, nothing like the Leeds riots. Darn notherners, need to chill out. Can't wait till next year, although I have no idea how they're going to top this years bill (Arcade Fire, Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, NOFX etc), but then again I thought that last year. I'm thinking Radiohead, Strokes and Chili Peppers next year. They're all due new albums. You heard it here first. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Posted - 09/20/2005 : 05:54:22 Yeah that's why I thought you wouldn't have seen it. As backstage is not an option for most of us, Reading is definitely better.

Posted - 09/01/2005 : 05:18:25 Nice flag, I spotted it. I am a massive Wedding Present fan and want to know what people here thought of them at Reading. I thought the sound was waaaay too quiet, but 30 of us managed to mosh our asses off - and pissed off some twattish dropkick munters fans in the process! So, what did you think?

Not quite, but the power of rock did seem to win through and you can't really do much about people throwing urine at you from a distance :)

I concur, they fucking rocked. I was closer to the front than the last time I saw them and it made all the difference, although I think it was generally a better show. They were just so damn tight and I was genuinely terrified at Mr Black's earth-shattering screams of 'repent'. Huge shivers.
Oh BTW wanna check if anyone saw my camp's Kiss flag in the crowd, had it down the front during Iggy and the Stooges, and was at the main stage all day yesterday. I'm only interested because there were so many happy reunions under it, with all the people being lost using it as their only bearing. Some wankers tried to burn it, lots of people threw piss at it, but the Kiss survived to rock another day!

Aw, that's a pity! You'd think Access All Area passes would give you a decent shot at meeting them. Ah well, never mind....next time! |
